We’ve done it for years.. our transfers since about 2016 have been a who’s who of how not to buy players. Dozens of average players brought cheaply in the same position costing more when you look at total costs inc wages than buying 2 or 3 decent ones. I don’t get why we never learn. 5 players for £15m earning £50k a week and hope one or two of them come good or 2 decent players for £35-£40m earning £100k a week. Simple maths tell you which is the better deal along with the fact they’re going to contribute more on the pitch too

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?
Turkish replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
“Little one” that was what “he” used to refer to people as. 🤔🤔🤔 perhaps he has outed himself although I’m yet to see adios or game, set and match used in a post but will be keeping a closer eye in future. I always assumed he was another Dune user name -
If one were to believe in the momentum curve philosophy must lauded on here a while back you could argue that it’s all gone downhill since Nathan Jones left

Bro scored bare goals, Bro is a baller

Leeds- clear at the top a few months ago, as things stand now in the play offs. Sunderland well clear of fifth but not much chance of automatic promotion. Is History repeating itself?

Manor took some beating for me, great place. Academy/Opera House was good too. Maddison’s was great tbf remember when they opened the Academy in Southampton and people said it was going to be like the Bournemouth one, it was okay for Southampton I guess but bang average. orange Rooms on the other hand very good London Home, Fabric, Voodoo Lounge. ministry of sound very overrated IMO rhino was very good back in the late 90s too.

I remember back in c2000 a lad we knew had ME, he'd be out clubbing all weekend in London and Bournemouth but too fucked to go to work all week due to his ME.
-
wasn't everything?
-
Do people still get ME? It was all the rage 25 years ago but dont hear about it anymore.

fashionable injuries that the same people get ie - When everyone got shin splints in the 90s, in 00s everyone broke their metatarsals, now its a meniscus tear, the fashionable injury of the 2020s.

that area from the Pier up, down to Oxford Street, round the old walls, below bar up to the Bargate and round by Bugle street could have been something special. Blend in the old walls, the old town with new parts and make the most of the waterfront. It's sad to think what might have been and look at what it is now.

it wasn't in the mainstream yet, we did a lot of our work under the radar. However as our network widened so did the attention from the naysayers. Those were the days when we had to make a really effort to find out information, a few original members drifted away unable to keep up with the standards needed they tried setting up splinter groups which didnt last. We did then what others wouldnt so today we can do what they cant.

a fetish for demijohns? Guess you could use them in a couple of ways depending on how you identify that day.

People from Southampton dont mention it enough. You can guarantee that a scouser particularly as well as Mancs, Londoners, Geordies will tell you where they are from without you asking, within minutes of meeting them by Jack Stephensing the name of their hometown into conversations. Getting into a conversation with them whilst on holiday can be particularly irritating as you cant escape them.

and people laughed at some of their signings, Neco WIlliams, Gibbs-White, Wood to name but 3....

Big Ange must be looking forward to getting back on track sunday. Have they got any players that haven't scored for ages? Get your money on a Spurs win with them to score. Easy money

Do i need to come back and reclaim my turf? Everything's gone downhill off the pitch since i moved away, maybe a return to the yard to take back the manor is needed? The DEF can reform as the SO14 Mandemn start some proper influencer wars and put these bluds back in their box bro.

I wonder if we could build a super consortium to take over from SR? A mix of investors and fan owned with big Micky, Mike Wilde, Mark Jackson as the investors and Um Pahars to head up the Saints Trust bit of it
