  1. Having a sleeve sponsor like Garmin is a real statement of intent
  2. Another classic was he’d been at Norwich training ground that morning and heard we were trying to sign Gary Cahill. When a link to that hotbed of bullshit football insider was posted with a story that morning that saints were interested in signing Cahill he made out it confirmed what he’d heard 😂😂😂
  3. We were very close to getting Jamie Vardy too. The fletwood chairman had told people at a game it was Vardys last game as they’d got an offer they can’t refuse from Southampton, something happened and as we knew he ended up at Leicester
  4. That’s the fella thanks, yes. We were in for him and he chose Reading instead. After missing our on Jamal, Gorkss and Fountaine it was a mad scramble right at the end of the window and we got Hooliveld
  5. Lots of stuff happening but given the CoT don’t know anything you’ll have to wait for the news to be in the public domain this window. I gave you Will Still a couple of months ago mind
  6. Elliot Ward was the year before in league one and we completely mugged him off. He’d said his goodbyes at whatever club he was at was about to travel down to sign and got a call to say we’d signed Dan Seabourne instead. yeah Jamal was championship season there was definitely one more as well we thought was over the line only for it to collapse at the 11th hour
  7. IIRC he first claimed it was a cup game, then a friendly, then when absolutely no record anywhere of the game could be found he said it was a behind closed doors friendly 😂😂 He came out some absolute bullshit over the years
  8. Thats the fella, cheers. There were at least a couple more as well and Hooliveld was very much a last minute move. He turned out alright in the championship despite and infamous scouting report from a poster who TUI who claimed he had seen him play for Celtic and had scored an own goal, given away a penalty and got sent off in a match for Celtic, on further investigation it turned out it was a completely made up 😂😂
  9. That was the point I was replying to, we signed Sharp, Fox, Lee, Hooliveld who all played a big part in our championship promotion but barely played again when we went up. we signed Hooliveld back end of the summer window in the championship after we’d missed out on our top 3-4 targets I forget their names now but one of them we from Bristol City thought it was a done deal then collapsed at the last minute

I think we should just get him signed up for a 6 year deal on low wages and stop messing about
  11. Brought is Hooliveld as well didnt we? Started the first few games but out of his depth in the premier league. Yoshida came in and partnered Fonte for the rest of that season before we got Lovren a year later who made a difference.

You can replace Diblings name with that of any half decent kid. It's absolutely absurd that people think 17, 18 year talented kids, their agents and their families will just happily sign any old deal for years with no clue if it's a good or bad deal.
  13. That's how i see him, might be alright in the championship but he looked shite in the premier league. Seemed unable to do even basic stuff which was nothing to do with tactics or managers.

He wants to stay but hasn't got a deal from Saints they feel is acceptable yet - which disproves the bollocks we should nail them down to long term contracts on low wages as they'll have no idea what they're really worth He wants to leave but hasn't got a deal from another club which Saints and Diblings bros feel is acceptable yet - which disproves the bollocks we should nail them down to long term contracts on low wages as they'll have no idea what they're really worth He is open minded and happy to stay or leave depending on what's on offer- which disproves the bollocks we should nail them down to long term contracts on low wages as they'll have no idea what they're really worth
  15. Careful, you'll upset the wallys on here with their who needs experience mantras.

I think it’s hilariously naive that there are still people who think we can tie down all our top young players into long contracts on low wages and them and their agents will be like starry eyed little boys signing the contract as soon as the can with no idea of anything else going on in the insestuous, money obsessed football world, what their market value and wage expectations should be.
  17. What case? All you’ve done is claim the usual suspects making the usual comments. Which comments are you referring to? What’s the implication you’re making by your claim? What counter points do you have against the “usual remarks”? make a case before resting it. All you’ve done is make a brash statement
  18. bit harsh on Stewart
  19. an LGBT and a mix race person i'd suggest
  20. ITV news reported that he'd been sacked so not sure, all seems a bit odd though.
  21. I have a couple of mates who are very into investments so i'll follow their lead on this sort of stuff, i need to do my own research too. As for properties, agree. My plan was to buy one and rent it but it doesn't seem worth it. Two friends of mine are landlords, one owns 5 properties he lets to students the other owns 6 flats which he rents to profesionals, it works for them but if you're just going to have one and rent it out whilst also having a normal job from what i've seen it's not worth the hassle unless you have no mortgage on it and can buy it outright.
  22. it is very odd and he denies saying it. Im not fan of Torode, think he's a bit of a knob but this does seem right. If you're going down this road then everyone could be sacked from their jobs. Im sure we've all said something at some point in the last 10 years that could be considered offensive to someone. Wallace is different as there is a repeated behaviour here but one comment, years ago, seriously?
  23. Thanks that’s what I’m planning to do, split the pension across 6 or so different funds and leave it long term. I’ve had this money sitting there for ages so makes sense to try and use it a bit more wisely. If/when I leave my current job I’ll do the same with that and stick that in the same SIPP too.
  24. Been recomended Hargreaves Lansdown, i've got a decent amount to put in and apparently with them you can chose your own investments, a mate of mine joined their SIPP two months ago and has made about 8% so far.
  25. It's funny coming from aintforever, whenever there is a chance to show what a lovely person you are it's a race between him and a couple of other serial virtue signallers to be the first to post how great it all is. One might suggest people doing this might also have serious issues.
