When he first came one i was really surprised and switched off a bit when he spoke but after a few weeks i actualy realised he was talking a lot of sense and spot on with what he was saying. No cliches, really well rounded views and as has been mentioned his breakdown and analysis of moves and tactics is spot on. Gives a much more insghtful view of the game and teams that Andy Towsends, "that Rooney, i think hes class" type stuff.

It was only a few weeks ago people were saying Davis, lambert and Lallana should all be in the England squad and were going on about us being in the champions league. People were saying we needed a 45k stadium and were the most attractive team in the country outside of the top 4 clubs to a player when we were in LEAGUE ONE!!! and anyone who disagreed had no ambition and were stuck in Dell sized mentalities. If a fan of another club looked at some of the stuff on here they'd think we were massively arrogant and deluded as well.

I knew a young lad that wasa youth team player at Pompey when Redknapp was there. He said Redknapps training was poor, it centred around playing hour after hour of five a side. To be fair to Redknapp, by his own admission in the past he's admitted that it's all about good players. What he is good at is buy players and getting them to play in a good system and also attractive football, so not fair to say he doesnt have a clue. End of the day he took Pompey up as champions, to their highest league position since the war and won the FA Cup and brought champions league football to Spurs. What he isnt good at it seems is improving players, motivating and managing underperforming players or bringing through young players. He does have a clue, but he only has a clue if he can do things his way and that seems to be short term thinking and the club to have deep pockets. He isnt any good at getting the best out of what he's got, which is why he wasn't the right man for England.
