That West Ham won't pay him what he wants and we will. That he is sick of living in/near London and wants to relocate. The only reason he would possibly come here is because he thinks he's got a better future here than at West ham.

So why isn't Davis in Kiev instead then? Leighton Baines was in the premier league team of the year. Surely this means he's a better left back than Ashley Cole?

The fact that 4 Different England managers over a 7 year period have consistently picked Green and not one of them has ever picked Kelvin Davis is pretty strong evidence which one is better, no?

Yet despite all this 4 England managers over the last 6 years have all picked him for England and he's kept Davis out of the squad who many on here claim is better. Still what do they know he's clearly gash and only there because there is no one else.

And despite his apparent lack of ability he's still in the squad ahead of some other decent goalkeepers. Foster and Robinson to name but two.

Would be a great signing. England international, loads of experience, a good age for a goalkeeper and on a free. It's all very well wanting young players but you need experience in key areas as well.

I agree we need a couple of experienced players as well. We certainly need a leader on the pitch. I think Green and Upson would give us that and would both be decent signings. I be surprised if we got them both though as as I said above I heard Green was off to Malaga and we weren't interested in Upson.

My greatest memory of clubcall is in 1997 they reported as FACT we had signed Alun Armstrong from Stockport for £1m only for him to unveiled the next day at Middlesbrough.

We are interested as are a number of clubs. Apparantly the player would prefer to stay in London and Fulham, QPR and West Ham are also interested as are Newcastle, Stoke and Villa who have all made enquiries about him. I dont know if we or anyone else has offered him a deal or not, but i'd imagine if we do it'll happen soon. No, not naming sources.
