How is it a silly point? There are 4 English premier league managers, why is that? Youd think there would be more given the league is in England and full of English players a few years ago there was a big campaign because not many black managers did badges no they obviously hit their quota there whinging that the percentage in work is too low, it’s going to take time to hit that quota. it’s entitled to suggest they should all get a job straight away, what about the 75% that aren’t black that have done the same hard work?
-
how Paul Ince can whinge is beyond me, he got a premier league management job and was shit and has been shit in every job he’s had since then too. Why does no one ever tell them this when they’re going on about racism?
-
That might have something to do with football league being played in England. I’m pretty sure if you looked at the French league most of the managers would be French. Mind blowing isn’t it until we know how many qualified black coaches there are and we can compare that to the overalll number then again v how many are employed that would be the real test rather than just brashly claiming 25% of coaches were black over a very short time frame then demanding the overall number employed should be higher. Simple maths tells you that if there are 10000 coaching jobs available if 1000 coaches qualified in the last two years 250 were black and every single one of them got a job straight away then then the overall percentage employed would still be significantly lower than the 25%. It’s very lazy and entitled behaviour

There have been English players in the premier league all my football watching life, but we still have very few English managers. You would have thought the figure would have been higher.
-
so how many qualified black coaches are there?
-
We aren't talking about black players, this is about black coaches.

I've got more and more into local football. It started watching Harrogate Town more from the Conference North now into league two but i'd been to watch Harrogate Railway in the Northern Counties league a bit this season. Two reasons because their junior team want my lad to sign for them and secondly because some of his coaches at the Brazilian soccer school he goes to play for them. It's a great club, ground is a proper non league ground that looks like it hasn't changed for 50 years, a very small stand a terrace behind the goal with toilets that haven't changed since the 1960s, a crap dug out with another little terrace area in front of a corrogated Iron fence between the ground, the houses behind and railway track. Webuyanycar using half the car park with the other half badly parked cars with no clue how there are so many for a club that has about 50 there most weeks. Then completely out of place is a brand new club house, changing rooms and bar, which overlooks the pitch and the rugby club next door.

It just is okay, people just need to accept the report. We will never end racism whilst people carry on denying it. Just by being white you already have white priviledge.
-
It's not difficult to work out why this is. If coaching qualifications were only given out from 2022 onwards it might be an issue but there are probably 1000s of coaches who qualified before 2022 who are in jobs already. So more of an interesting percentage would be all the qualified coaches out there how many are black and how many of those are employed and how long have they held their badges. This would give far more of an insight into if this really is a race problem or it being expected that newly qualifed coach should walk into a job because they're black

I'd expect nothing else from a far left Owen Jones fan boy extremist like yourself.

In a 2006 press release, the Muslim Council of Britain suggested Cohen and four other journalists were "part of a circle of pernicious Islamophobic commentators".[27] Wow, SOG supporting Islamaphobes now. What next?
-
Yet another opinion piece by a far left journalist passed off by SOG as FACT, LOL. GIven the accusations of sexual harassment he's faced it's no wonder you support him though. Did you know he's of Jewish heritage? Guess that maybe changes things.

Well it’ll be a new system to about half next season squad if we go up or stay down. As we’ve seen it only takes one or two not to be at it for it all to go tits up
-
You could also say he was the reason we didn’t go down sooner. It looked inevitable under Pellegrino, Hughes got lucky and we started his next season woefully. Then when we did go we got relegated immediately. No investment in the squad, selling to buy, a clueless team running the club. When we did get some cash it was wasted on kids. He ran out of steam, unsurprisingly and probably should have been a parting of ways at the end of the season before he did leave. This crap that he was useless simply isn’t true

What about all the other games this season though? For some reason you seem to think the season only started 14 games ago. Done those points count? It’s absolutely preposterous to think we should be beating the team 18 points adrift at the bottom of the table at home. . Or that we should be winning going into the last few minutes against a bottom half teams when we’re leading with a few minutes to go. Enough points there to see us top with games in hand. Preposterous, absolutely preposterous

Its pretty odd to watch something you are fundamentally going to disagree with then be outraged because what was on there was something you disagree with.
-
You are going to be dissapointed then. We will lose about 10 current first team players, the loans will go back, Armstrong and Adams are out of contract, KWP will probably finally get a better offer. So we will start next september is exactly the same place as we were this season. The run of form in september was crap, but there were still 36 games left to play when we lost at Middlesboro. Yeah teams will always lose the odd game but team that want to succeed dont usually look back at about 20% of their games in a season as game where they should have won but didn't.
-
you have to wonder what happens when we spend money on players. The loan signings this season have been good (apart from Holgate) and saved our season, Downes, Frazer, THB been excellent. Brooks and Rothwell are contributing and , but the permanent signings have been crap. Manning, Charles, Stewart to add to the shit show of the last two windows before that.
-
It's quite simple. We closed the gap, We were second, we have our three direct promotional rivals to play. It was in our hands now it isn't. Despite this myth that we needed perfect form to go up we didn't. We simply needed to beat teams near the bottom and hold into leads in the last 5 minutes of games, which is what teams who go up tend to do.
-
I doubt there would be as much local interest if their aim every season was 17th in the Southern League.
-
Weren’t we second not long ago with the rest of the top 3 still to play or did I make up that scenario too?
-
Indeed. Pretending other scenarios might have played out is pointless. The fact is automatic promotion was in our own hands and it looks like we’ve screwed it
-
Well it is because you're making up the outcome of results to try to prove your point. You could easily say if we hadn't thrown away a load of games, Watford, Huddersfield, Norwich where we conceded soft late equalisers and beaten Rotherham and Millwall at home and then beaten Leicester instead of your prediction of losing we'd be 5 points clear at the top with a game in hand. We didn't even need to be perfect in that scenario, we could have still lost to Hull and Bristol City.
-
Same with Ipswich, they were just going to slip away quietly, stand aside a let us take our rightful place at the top of the table come May.
