Southampton had the potential to be one of Europes great cities. Im not joking it's got it all. A great coastline, a history with a mix of modern and old, a decent climate relatively for the UK, a ready made tourist industry thanks to the cruise ships, an airport, an hour from London. Instead of that it's become a run down shit hole. I was back a few weeks ago for the first time in 3 years and it gets worse every time i come back, certainly kills any thoughts of ever moving back.
