I agree with you there mate. I'd need to earn at least £20k more a year to even consider communiting to London everyday. A pal of mine used to do it, a lot of it was for the image of telling people he worked in London more than anything. He didn't earn that much more either.

I liked the jokes people make, like whenever we are linked with a player and he is worth, say £4m, someone usually came up with the quite brilliant gag, "make it £4.5m and Pulis" and other equally as funny one along them same lines. There were endless hilarious jokes involving these two that had me regularly in stitches.

Slapping themselves on the back with their convictions safe in the knowledge making examples of a few fence rattling fall guys justifed the cost and budget secured for another year. They loved it, they were almost hoping it would kick off. THe police even had a film crew following them around on the day FFS!!! I agree with you that they want incidents to occur. Easy nickings, easy bannings and plenty of self backslapping when the arrests are made and convictions and bans handed out.
