  1. Le Mans - the race Anders Svenson mitt have watched if he had a spare 24 hours
  2. Leighton Mitchell - club Shop assistant turned Corteses yes man.
  3. I cant for one second imagine a keen follower of current affairs would commit criminal acts such as the one you suggest, even in an attempt at an act of madness.
  4. nothing to fear from what i've just seen. Not a lot between them but Leciester better side, plus they picked up a fair few injuries, with the extra day we have to recover and prepare we should be looking at at least a draw
  5. This.
  6. You're wrong mate. Chamberlain will get Theos place in the Arsenal squad. Theo is just a sprinter who cant shoot or cross. Chamberlain is much better, he has a much better football brain. He proved this last season against Wallsall and Dagenham and Redbridge.
  7. If holding people back in the ground for 15 minutes is an infringement of human rights, surely forcing them to all travel by the same method is as well.
  8. On the UI, banging the same drum.
  9. N/T
  10. That isn't very nice Mr Charisma.
  11. I can assure you mindy (lol) there is nothing that angers me more than after enjoying 45 minutes of first class soccer having to queue for 10 minutes to eat and drink and have to strain to hear the half time scores from the rubbish PA system.
  12. When prices get up to £40+ i may decided that top flight football is not for me. If we were challenging for the champions league (which we wont be but thats another arguement) then i would go. But i take pleasure from seeing Saints win, the idea of paying £40+ a week seeing Saints most weeks hoping to scrape a draw or catch a team on a bad day and get an unlikely win, to spend a whole season where staying up is considered success just doesn't do it for me. The standard of football might be better but the standard of my enjoyment would be worse, because i wouldn't be seeing us win as much.
  13. What do you think les Reid is on the payroll for?
  14. I am a bit disillusioned with the whole thing and how the club has been run. What happens on the pitch is only a small part of what makes a successful football club. THe car parking charges are an absolute scandal as is the ticket tax. I am also deeply concearned by the lack of revenue coming in from corporate sales, those areas are almost empty which means the relationship with local businsses is at an all time low. This coupled with the long queues for food and drink at half time, the poor quality of the PA system and the quite frankly rubbish pre match and half time entertainment are ruining my matchday experience.
  15. They have been doing this for years. At the Dell a few times when i didn't get a ticket for sold out games i would pretend to be a mate who had forgotten his season ticket, buy a ticket for a tenner from the TO and then squeeze in the seats between them with them all shiffting along a bit.

    The Peak

Lets hope he's got £300m buring a hole in his pocket then.
  17. Me too, last time we went there we took the p*ss in two towns that day. Be good to relive those golden times.
  18. It's because he's a cock.
  19. You're right, we should sing his name, cheer him if he scores and applaud him off the pitch if he gets subsituted. Completely forgetting the fact that he took the p*ss out you and our club by coming out in the press saying he wanted to leave, saying that he was too good for us and not forgetting arrogantly describing himself as a young star. I dont want his career to ended by a bad tackle or injury, but i dont see why he should be treated as a returning hero when he mugged us off the way he left.
  20. I'm glad Martin O'Neill finally managed to sell his house.
  21. Italian ultras in general look fantastic. Watching the curva at Juve, the San Siro, Roma etc is impressive.
  22. Not really a comparison to make. Phillips has consistently proven himself to be a top striker at this level over the past 3 or 4 seasons and is still scoring regularly now. Connolly although a good player and glad he is fit at the moment hasn't really played regularly for 3 seasons. In their prime Phillips played for England, scored 30 plus goals in one season playing for midtable team and scored goals regularly, he was/is a class act. At one point he was linked with moves to Arsenal. Connollys record and ability doesn't really come close.
  23. Please find a single post one this thread where I have banged on about being involved in anything or claimed to be.
  24. That's a shame, i was gonna say you're a legend on here but i think i'll hold off until you've hit 40,000 posts and come up with loads more mock ups for home and away kits over the next three seasons.
  25. Me neither and just for you..
