Barcelona will always have more posession of the football apparantly at the weekend they had 82%! They are a class apart but to beat teams like that you need to defend well, have a bit of luck and resiliance as you wont beat them by playing football. I though they did well and the second goal was superb, you can blame poor marking for that, they were taken apart by pace.

It is a sh*t song, i dont like the song but think it's funny and very patronising to sing "your grounds to big for you" at small clubs like Dagenham and Yeovil.

It's origins go back to the 70's when Chelsea used to travel away, the song harks back to the era when the Shed was one of the largest open terraces in the country, when Chelseas travelling army would vist smaller stadia around the country they would often start the song "Chelseas shed is bigger than this, Chelseas shed is bigger than this, it's got a fence and a scoreboard, Chelseas Shed is bigger than this" Over time and generation of support the words and lyrics were adapted to suit the club concearned and now we have the modern version sung by the modern travelling support. We seem to have polar opposites depending on the result. A win and we are the best team in the league, lose and we are crap, not good enough for promotion. Everything is massively overanalysed, Cortese is Satan or God and so on. Although some of those radio phone ins are hilarious, after the Liverpool game a Chelsea fan rang in to say that Liverpool fleeced Torres, they didn't need him and Lampard and Terry were over the hill. He shut up when he was reminded that this is the same side which won the double 8 months ago.

they wouldn't handle the pitches, Messi, Iniesta and Xavi would get buiiled out of most games and look at how the rolled over when Arsenal equlized, no bottle, they'd struggle to stay up IMO.

if we continue our record of 6 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat for the rest of the season that should be enough for 2nd, although we have some tough game coming up so its a big ask.

He is/was a fantastic footballer. Best English midfielder i've seen since watching football. One of the few genuinely world class players we have produced.

Barry Bannon, he is scottish, similar sort of player been really impressed with him when i've seen him, Albrighton is a good player as well.

He is an excellent footballer and only still a kid. Aston Villa have got a similar type of player, although not as good as Wilshire still young and very good, his names escapes me at the moment.

Good point, having thought about it briefly, it's difficult to split them IMO and it depends on the seveirty of the offence and the circumstances i guess.

i dont know what else you'd expect from a man who writes off two new players after 160 minutes of football between them (70 of which were a very good away performance) and said because we only won 1-0 and didn't score in 45 minutes against 10 men we weren't good enough for promotion. Same opponents won 0-1 away last night at the team that were 6th at the start of play.
