Jackie Chan doesn't look like a failed wannabe rock star lookalike. Chris Evans could play RObsk Hugh Grant could play Dell Days.

was that the game when it poured with rain and the Spurs keeper should have been sent off for bring shearer down? Waddle chipped Flowers (?)

He'd do, although possibly Christian Bale, Jason Statham or Ed Norton are a good fit. Although i am prone to bursts of anger so Joe Pesci tends to play those sort of characters well. Dune would have to be Russell Crowe, a great fit after his role in Romper Stomper.
-
Who would play you? It would have to be someone young and cool, fantastically intellegent but in a cool way. Someone that women want and men want to be, Prehaps Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt?
-
Well only one really Super Mikey.

I think you'd make a great film director or screen writer Super Mikey. You have all the characteristics of one. Sharp, intellegent, creative, witty etc. With your incredible intellegence and knowledge of everything no bridge would be too far for you. You wouldn't create this bizare films about made up worlds. You'd do real films for real people, cutting edge dramas which are a rollercoaster ride of emotion, gritty yet charming, hilarious yet moving. You would take film making to another level, stretching the envelope, you would stand shoudler to shoulder with Lee, Scorcse, Tarantino etc and "step aside you lot, get out of the photo shot, SuperMikey is all we are interested in"

Plus i've always fancied Jo Wiley. Remember seeing her years ago at Glastonbury caked in mud wearing a short denim skirt and boots, never has a woman looked such a mess but been so incredilby sexy at the same time.

To be fair i am coming round to his way of thinking, you cant lose. Saturday if we fail to win, or even a narrow win, its because the team dont want it, we should be blowing teams like Swindon away, squad not good enough etc. If we go two or three up at half time rest players for the next game and we dont score another or concded he can argue this proves we lack quality depth because they didn't do as well as the first 11. If we go on and win 7-0 then we should really be closing the game down and not using up energy with a midweek game to come. He's already implied on this thread that a big win will be both a great win and detremental, got to love it.
-
You need to get over your obsession with starting arguements with me. On the one hand you say you agree with our man who says he will only be happy with winning 3-0 or more yet now you seem to think a big win wont be a good win and will have a detremental effect of the team. Which is it to be?
-
Personally if it were me and we were 2-0 up at half time i'd be encouraging the team to go on and smash Swindon to build confidence and send out (another) message to the division. Any team coming of the back of a 5-0 win shouldn't worry about being rested, they should be desperate to play the next game.

according to a survery Southampton has the highest rate of schizophrenia per 1000 of the population in the world. Make of that what you will.

Do you remember that time when we made Elton John & Dame Edna Everage dolls and tortured them, it was brilliant. I liked it when we hung them from the ceiling and set fire to their feet. It was such fun, what followed was better when we told the wardens we were torturing our celebrity nemesys. I still cant believe they outlawed pin down, i used to love that, reminded me of being 7 again at boarding school.

That is surely the greatest single post of all time, still makes me laugh now.

"We all know we will p*ss it up the wall against Exeter and Dagenham" Alpine Saints after beating Huddersfield 4-1 "this Ashes series will end up like the last one 5-0 to Australia" Alpine Saint after the first day of the first Ashes test (okay not football but still quality) "In league one Rickie Lambert would score 30 goals, Torres will score about 10" Le God Third Coming "we can sign any player we want and are the most attractive team for any player outside those playing in the champions league" Le God Third Coming "Rickie Lambert should be in the England world cup squad" Tactics "Saints would beat England" numerous posters, before the world cup

It's horses for courses though, i'd start with Barnard every time on a wet ,cold February night away from home when the match is going to be a battle first, passing football second. Gully is a good footballer but not going to be at his best in those conditions. Adkins seems to preach the horses for courses but not practise it.

You're right, we should win every game 10-0 in this league as we have spent 10 times more than everyone else. -

Realistically we could and should have beaten them, but on paper Man United should have beaten Crawley 10-0 saturday, Arsenal should have spanked Leyton Orient rather than drawing, Chelsea should have beaten Everton, Sunderland should have beaten Notts Country in the 3rd round. We should have won tonight if football was played out on a computer with attributes and statistics being the decisive factor but it isn't. Yes we should be top two and we would be but for our shocking start. We are playing catch up, but i still believe we are good enough to go up ideally by automatic but if not by the play offs. What is unrealistic is our fans expecting us to win every game 5-0 and the the dispear when we dont citing money spent as the reason why we should win. Look at Man City, money guarentees f*ck all. Win saturday and it's 4 points from 2 games in a week again and in February have taken 11 from 5 games, a good return, keep it up and we go up, people need to measure our performances and form over 5 or 6 games not 90 minutes. -

what are you talking about? We have only lost one away in our last 6 and our league record against the teams in the top 8 and the realstic play off contenders is played 9, W5 d2 L2. One of those defeats was MK Dons away when Adkins had been in charge for a day! We will be the team other teams dont want to play in the play offs if it comes to that, that is for sure. -

He also believes that when Lallana plays, players around him are inspired to brilliance and reaches heights they had never been to before, they can streach higher to head crosses into the net, run faster, tackle and pass better, his mere presence on the pitch does this. What happened tonight? -

Good, good, usual drama queenism. Out of all the teams playing for second place (lets face it, we are now unless Brighton implode) we got the best result. Win saturday at home gainst a team fighting relegation and it's 4 points from 2 in week again and a good return. On paper should we win? Of course, but guess what, football isn't played on paper but we got a point, didn't lose ground on the others despite not playing well. We wont win every game FFS
