    league 1

    This.
  2. I dont hate that, we are the Man Utd of this league, that may sound arrogant but it's true. The "we dont care about you" was apt, it was Bournemouth, they hate us, we dont care about them, it's totally correct. The chants i hate are the Cortese song, embarassing, which other clubs sings songs about its chairman? Red and White Barmy army, we are not a cricket crowd and the worst one of all is the David Connolly, he's back from the dead chant. Cringeworthy, even he hates it as he showed during the game today, hopefully that'll be the last we hear of that. I've been critical of our fans in the past but the last couple of months apart from the odd embarassing moment or support home and away has been nothing short of excellent. Orient and today was some of the best away support i've experience in 25 odd years of following Saints, our away support is better now than ever. I remember us regularly only every taking 1,500 or so to Tottenham and less than 1,000 to MIdlands grounds, we get much more than that in league one. And i dont really see what the problem people have with clubs thinking we are arrogant, we are the biggest club in this division, over the second half of the season we've played the best football and been the best team , we have fantastic players that other clubs in this league can only dream off, the best stadium and the biggest fan base, we have a lot to be arrogant about. Arrogance is only a bad thing if it's unjustifed.
  3. Definitely do this, i can vouch for this 100% as i've just got a new job after being approached on linked in. It's full of recruitment agencies looking for staff and companies out job ads on there.
  4. My background is IT sales and there are a couple of decent companies up in Basingstoke who take on people with sales experience which doesn't have to be in IT. I started out at one of them, good place to start as there is loads of training and they put you through industry vendor accreditations like Microsoft, Cisco, HP etc which add an extra few £ks onto your basic when you look to move on. It's channel sales as well so not that difficult and there are loads of incentives and prizes to win like holidays, days out, TV's, Ipods, even vouchers, i won loads of stuff in my time there. You'd probably be able to get your £25k as an OTE, i know one of them is definitely taking on at the moment. If you're intrested drop me a PM and i'll send you the details.
  5. and at the end of every season for as long as i have been alive, especially when there is something to celebrate like promotion or staying up. not us though. We cant do this, it's against the law and we have to be deadly serious at all times, football is completely serious business.
  6. No, Swanwick actually.
  7. He posts on the UI board a lot, he is over here at the moment, going to Plymouth tomorrow and will be at the Wallsall game. Was a bit about him in the echo this week as well.
  8. I would say there are 10 clubs who are bigger than us and the biggest in the country, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle, Tottenham, VIlla, Everton, Man City, using attendances, finances and history of trophies as guidline, underneath them there are a large group of about 20 clubs of a similar size which we are one that can all claim to be bigger than the other but in reality there is nothing much between them and size depends on their current league positons etc. This would include ourselves, Forest, Derby, Birmingham, Stoke, Leicester, West Ham, Sunderland, Middlesborough, Sheffield United & Wednesday, Norwich and Ipswich amoungst others.
  9. Who said anything about a need to feel superior. It's common sense, last game + very good chance of promotion = probable sell out. Tickets have been on sale for months, I got mine two weeks ago for this very reason as i didn't want to miss out on the first promotion this club has had in my living memory.
  10. why? THey are both breaking the law, just because you get away with it doesn't make it right.
  11. Dont you dare ever drive at 31 MPH's in a 30 limit MLG, given you being a stickler for the rule book.
  12. I'm sure QPR fans that were on the pitch at Watford today are now all worrying about being banged up.
  13. In a game where Walsall could be relegated you mean? What about showing some decorum to them? Where do you draw the line?
  14. I agree, people will be moaning about it now how unfair it is etc, but tickets have been on sale for months, if you were a regular you'd have been aware of this and had made plans to get one weeks ago. Everyone that wanted a ticket badly enough will have got one, the way i see it those that are trying to get one now just want to be on the promotion bandwagon.
  15. To be honest with BTF, any bloke that thinks girls like this are interested in them are dinlows and deserve all they get. It's like these blokes that go to lap dancing clubs and pay 20 odd quid for an, admittedly attractive girls, to dance in front of them. I just dont get it at all and dont see they point, why pay for it? You cant touch them, they aren't interested in you at all, i find these places a little bit sad. I went on a stag do in York last year and one blokes on it spent £100+ on private dances, girls come up and talk to you but all they are interested in is the money, yet some fella that go really do fool themselves into thinking the women do it because they find the fella attractive, not because it's their job.
  16. A very good player but we haven't done too badly without him have we.
  17. I'm with you on this BTF, i find this offensive and am also offended on behalf of other people that would find these sort of sexist remarks offensive. People need to have a word with themselves and remember that the internet and this forum in particular is a serious business.
  18. At the age of 18 all you really want to be worrying about if ****ging, football and drinking. Get out there lad and get your hole, stop worrying about things you have no effect or control over.
  19. See above mate, its now a (very good) Indian resturant and take away. Dont think i ever went in the county, there are plenty of good pubs in Harrogate and some cracking clothes shops as well for a small place.
  20. that's beautiful Hamster xxx
  21. The Mujib, went there on thursday night!! Cracking curry. Didn't Jim McCalliog also used to run a pub in Wetherby?
  22. Dave and Alister, cant remember their surnames or the name of other one think it might Alan? He was an older guy in his 60's, they've both moved away from Harrogate since then as it was 10 years or so ago.
  23. Yes i do know Jennyfields, my in laws live off Norwich Drive and been in the Claro Beagle a couple of times. Pretty sure it was a blue Peugeot thinking about it. I've been going up there for about 10 years, we got married up there and had our wedding reception at the Sun Pavillions in The Valley Gardens. She is desperate to move back but i'm still to be convinced! I'll give you a shout next time i'm up then.
  24. I lived up there for a while when about 10 years ago when i first met the incumbent, I met 3 and we used to travel to northen away games together, they've all since moved away from Harrogate, there is another one that i still see regularly in the Empress when we are up there.
  25. DO you live in Harrogate? I go up there a lot as my missus is from there and my inlaws live there. Funnily enough i was up there this weekend gone and driving down the road near where they live a bloke in the car in front had a saints scarf on the back seat. When i am up there can often be found of an evening in The Empress off the stray if you know where that is, it's the FIL's local. Cracking pub IMO.
