  1. Not recorded, spoke to someone, but i thought timeshare too, i remembered you posted something similar about getting a phone call from a scam a while back.
  2. I'm pretty sure it was LGTC that said in the summer we were a more attractive proposition than any club outside of champions league places, that we can sign any player we want and should offer them as much money as they want and we are more attractive to James Beattie than Glasgow Rangers when there was a thread with no substance to it that we were interested in him.
  3. Does this mean he is leaving? FFS.
  4. Got a call on the home phone today saying me or my partner (not male) had taken a survey and had won a hamper and a 7 day holiday which we had to go to their office in town and chose by a prearranged appointment next saturday. 1471'd and rang the number back, Southampton number, holiday company based in Soton & Bournemouth. Looked them up on the web and they seem kosher but all sounds a load of bollo*ks to me. All they knew were our names and we were aged between 30 and 75. ANyone else had anything similar recently? Some sort of scam?
  5. Like i said, for the sake of a couple of grand a week, i am not saying we go mental and pay £10m and £50k a week for a player that is only worth £800k FFS. If we bid £800k and the club want £1m for example then surely it's worth the extra £200k to get a quality player in that would help our promtion bid which is "esential"? We wont get anyone to replace Lallana, we are lucky to have him in L1, he is good enough for the PL IMO. No player of his standard is going to join us. Anyone saying we need someone to replace him is seriously deluded. Will they be any better than Dickson and Puncheon? And why would we pay £2-3m for a player that is going to go on the bench when Lallana is fit FFS?
  6. So we agree then. Good stuff.
  7. They haven't come from anywhere. The point i am making is that given promotion is "essential" i would hope that if we really want a top player we wouldn't lose them for the sake of a few grand. No one knows how much the bids are for and i am not pretending i do, but if Ipswich have had a bif accepted and we haven't, then we might speculate the reason is our bid wasn't enough?
  8. I quite agree, there is no doubt that Austin and Mackail-Smith would improve the first team, in a season where promotion is "essential" i would think we would not lose out on playerslike this for an extra £200k on the transfer fee or £2k a week wages.
  9. I love the little speeches the mongs that open the boxes give when it's their turn. "i hope this is a blue for you i really do, you're a top bloke and an inspiration to everyone" etc, get your tounge out of his arse you f*cking lemon.
  10. Take any young player, put them in a **** team with a clueless manager and you are setting them up to fail. It would take an exceptional young player to shine under those circumstances, not one available for nowt. I didn't say he was good and i am not saying he was outstanding for us and unfaily treated by the whole of SMS, i just dont feel he was as bad as some make out. Another victim of the lower league whipping boy mentality some of our fans have towards creative type players at this level. Puncheon and Gully have had it thi season. They dont beat three players and making defence splitting paces every time they get the ball, because guess what, if they did that they wouldn't be playing in league one. But if a player of this type does nothing for 89 minutes and set up a goal or score every game then the other 89 minutes doesn't matter IMO.
  11. I can accept it, Bradley Wright-Phillips, Lee Molyneux, Saganowski when permenant, were utter sh*t for us, i could go on as there have been many others. But what do you expect from a young kid coming into a sh*t team available on a free signing? They are not a free because they are a brilliant player who would set the league alight are they. A lot of decent players would struggle under that management playing in that team. He wasn't great but not as bad as a lot are making out. Certainly no worse than some of the other players we had at that time.
  12. because every team in the top 10 apart from us is going to win every game for the rest of the season arent they. FFS
  13. Have we lost Abdul Razzaq then? He is a superb batsman.
  14. Indeed, it does show how much you know about football that you thought he was okay and didn't just get on his back because he wasn't as good as Messi every week like most did.
  15. So got exactly the same treatment as Jason Puncheon then, FFS.
  16. an update from NL... http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A80336180?s_fromedit=1&s_type=10&s_sport=football
  17. What the f*ck does it matter where we are over a month? It's where you are over 9 months that matters. Show me any team in the country (with the possible exception of the unbeaten Man Utd) whose form has been top 2 every month this season. Bet you cant. At the moment we are 4th with a game in hand which if we win will put us in second. thats all that matter, not what our form was for the month of October, September or August. Notts County are top two in the form league yet are 18th in the league, do you think they'd swap places with us for our league positon and form, even though they'd have to settle for slightly worse January form? you bet your life they f*cking would.
  18. come to think of it, didn't Harchester United also have someone going on thier fans forum posting nasty rumours about the club? Dragon Slayer he was called. The similarities between us and them are uncanny.
  19. and are so demoralised by losing 4 games in a row we go on a slump and end up losing every game for the rest of the season, conceding 4,000 goals and scoring none, we get relegated, all the players die in a coach crash, the chairman quits, the owners walk away and a fire burns down the stadium during the last game of the season, it all happened to Harcester United on dream team (exept for losing a English football record of losing 23 league games in a row and condeding 4,000 goals in that time) afterall, why not us. If only we'd strengthened in January transfer window FFS.
  20. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A80286258 Signed off COYR? dark forces with ITK knowledge? surely not a certain former chairman?
  21. What about if they all win 16-0? Have you thought about that? While we are showboating on ITV the rest of L1 is catching up on us and we are sliding down the table. FFS.
  22. We could probably do with a couple of extra keepers as well. Although if we base this on England, they take 3 in a squad of 22 for a maximum 7 game tournement, using that ratio we need 144 players which would include 19 goalkeepers to get us through a 46 game season, we urgently need to strengthen, get the cheque book out Cortese FFS.
  23. It could happen, now they have signed BWP they have a significant depth up front, something we can only dream of, if only we'd signed him, Mackill-Smith and Austin, we'd only be two players short of having enough cover up front.
  24. Hmmm, those two might get injured though, best play safe and get another 5. If we can give them all 5 year contract so they are still with us when we get to the PL (all being well) even better. We'll need a squad of at least 100 players then and we need to start planning now.
  25. he was probably watching Tranmeres Ian Thomas Moore, he'd make a great "cover" player and ideal fifth choice striker in case everyone else is injured. Just the sort of player we need on our books.
