backdoor smashers in.
-
BTW, we have also scored the second highest amount of goals away from hom this season.
-
F*ck off!
-
So we are going to go back to speculating on what might happen if we hadnt won then? That we might have lost last night and might lose on saturday then we might be out of the top 6? BTW, Barnard missed an open goal from 10 yards last night, i'm sure he'd have scored if Lallan had been playing.
-
I agree, but being 4th, even 6th, with 20 games to go doesn't mean our season is in deep trouble.

oh please f*ck off with all these sh*tty songs. They are generally awful and even the good ones no one will sing them as we struggle to sing our own anthem properly.

Not Catastropic, no. Disapointing certainly but I would expect 4 points from Exeter and P'Boro would be considered by most a decent return from two tough away, i know i would. of course anything less than a win last night heaps pressure on us to get a result saturday, but we did win, we may have left it late, we may have a touch fortunate, but we won and that is all that matters. Why shouldn't we get a result at Boro? We've won half our games this season, we should expect at least a point, i expect us to win. And the reason i have analysed away form is because people were bemoaning how many away games we had against home games, put on a points per game basis our away form is the best in the league. And i wouldn't say being 4th, 2 points of second with two games in hand means our season is in deep trouble, would you?

Despite calls from some on the match thread last night that our season is in deep trouble and all the moaning earlier in Jan that we have so many away games, It is worth noting that after last nights result our away form is the joint best in the division despite playing at least one game less than the others. We have also only won one game less away than at home despite playing 3 fewer matches. We have won 3 of our last 4 away. Based on this evidence, is saying our season is in "deep trouble" are premature after being 1-1 away at Exeter, a difficult place to get a result, after 70 mins?

He was very quick strong and lively. Grew in confidence as the game went on. Surprised when he came off as AOC didn't have a good night at all, dont think he beat his man once whereas NG was beating his inside and outside all the time. We didn't play well on a terrible pitch against an Exeter side who were up for it and the better side for long periods. Harley was really good for them, cant believe we didn't bid for him in Jan. Nonetheless we got the win in the end although we could have been 2 up when Exeter scored, NG hitting the bar then Barnard from the rebound and RL missed from close range. Apart from the winner the most pleasing thing for me was the attitude of the players straight after the equalizer, not much celebrating and running around like we had saved a point, they were straight into the net to get the ball and back to the centre circle clearly intent on going on and winning the game. We followed Lallana down the A35 for most of the way, he was driving so cant be in too bad a way, hopefully he'll be back saturday. If he'd have been playing we wouldn't have hit the bar 3 times, they all have gone in and Davis would have reached the ball before Nardilello for their goal so we'd have won 5-0.

yeah he got cancer sadly and moved back to France.

FOr once i agree with you. There is no doubt he has a lot of talent but his attitude leaves a lot to be desired. I dont think Saints fans helped him to be honest, on his back all the time with many romaticising about how much better Antonio was meant to be but with his attitude i believe we are best off shot of him.
-
Like with anything, if you want to reach a conclusion and want to believe something then you will do.
-
Only in England is patriotism confused with racism.
-
But Schniderlin cost a £1m and was recomended by George Prost i believe, i think it's safe to say whoever recomend the other two should no longer work in football.
-
iam hurt to think that you would think i would wear a Saints hat JB.

Delighted no one left which was the key, delighted to get Chaplow and Gully on permemnant deals, dont know anything about the new players so will reserve judgement although they seem to give us pace and power and options we have been missing. Disapointed we didn't make a "big" signing to improve the first 11, rumour has it from a reliable source we were talking to Peterborough about Joe Lewis and CMS right up until the close of the deadline. All in all though pretty happy, 7.5/10.

Sounds very similar to Antonio, which will have some creaming themselves. Physically strong and quick but inconsistant and not a great football brain, probably make a great "impact player" at this level and lets hope the "superb coaching and sports science can improve the parts of his game he is lacking in.
-
to be fair to Supermikey, league one crowds= smaller attendances and quieter stadium so therefore = more "me time".
-
Lol, i remember another manager of ours saying Ryan Smith was world class!
-
I hope Puncheon doesn't move and stays with us rotting training with the youth team. teach him to be such a c*nt.
-
Regarding Forte surely the most important thing is what is he like on football manager? Does anyone have his stats?
-
A respected poster on the UI board has said that Peterborough have had bids from 2 NPC and a league one club for Joe Lewis, he wants out, Adkins is a fan and he would be happy to join us. Great signing if true.

I agree, quite often when the whole ground is singing the Chapel and Itchen are a couple of lines behind the Northam, means SMS has an echoing sort of sound. The Northam needs to slow the f*ck down, everyone knows this so why dont they?
