Not so much that he spent near on £2m in a position we already had 3 players.
-
Yes I heard it driving back. Was saying what a great side to watch we are. Really positive saying what a great game it was, how good we were and what a great job Nige had done.
-
Merson makes a good point on Sky. It's a myth about Arsenals young team, the average age of the sides was the same. Worlds apart in terms of atitude and ability though.
-
But why do you feel sorry for him? He is where he wanted to be. I am not bitter that he left us, that is football sadly. What i didn't like was the way he tried to engineer his move via the press. Coming out and saying he was too good for us etc and his old man acting up about how good his boy is. F*ck him, he is nothing to us anymore.
-
I dont know why you all feel sorry for him. Reap what you sow young man. He was the one desperate to leave, he was the one coming out in the papers telling everyone he wanted to leave and he was too good for us. F*ck him.
-
Did he have a kick? Arsenal were so bad it was embarassing. Half of the team weren't interested. Merson is upset.
-
I agree with this. We have all known we need a centre back all summer, clearly so does Nige as he's tried to sign three which have all f*cked up for some reason. It's clear that neither of our RB's are up to it at this level. On the left Fox looked good and is obviously the prefered choice there long term. The problem is, you feel Nige is waiting for Harding to have a bad game so he can drop him which might be costly. if he is his prefered choice, which he must be to have spent almost £2m on him, then just stick him in now.

Thank f*ck Vermalen isn't playing, he is in mine. Got to laugh haven't you, Arsenal have been so bad it's embarassing.

Isn't it just their right of passage??
-
Having a problem reading today? I was quite clear that i didn't say i agreed with their message. Or is freedom of speech only allowed if its what you agree with?
-
They didn't show Connollys shot which i think beat Schmichel at his near post, hit the post and came back and got stuck between his legs so he could pounce on it or Lamberts chance in injury time where he should have smashed it, plus the 3 or 4 goal bound shots which their defends somehow got something in the way of.

The bit about Human Rights is laughable. How come this only applies at SFC and when the police are trying to justify f*cking up like they did last saturday and against Pompey? The statement also lies, there was trouble after the game in 2009. I was even discussing this with a Millwall mate of mine who i met for a pint before the game last week. No intelleigence to suggest trouble after the match?? I take it they missed Millwall trying to get through the netting then!! Im sure there will be plent of back slapping and self contratulations by them when they give a few more bans out to fall guys as there always is. Probably a big article in the echo with a grand statement about this sort of behaviour not being tolerated. Clueless.

Spot on with all that mate.

On the way / just got home from the game thread...

Yes. Totally cringeworthy. They had some properly gay songs and cocky little chavs each side gobbing off all the way through. -
I didn't say I agree with their message, just they have a right to march. I know the thought of the EDL beings on a cold sweat to you but do you not agree they have a right to make their voice heard, regardless of if you like it or not? Surely on the basis used to ban this march Notting Hill carnival should also have been axed this year, always trouble there.
-
I don't think we'll sign anyone.
-
Please explain what you mean.
-
Case closed then. Using the logic of 70s music we don't need no education either. Ban all schools.
-
EDL marches in Tower Hamlets have been banned and all in London for 30 days. What happened to live and let live and freedom of speech FFS? I am sure some of you will be outraged at this infringement of human rights. Can't be arsed to post the link but it's on sky news for those of you chomping at the bit to protest to the local MPs about this discriminating behaviour.
-
 that is genius! Cracked me up. Did you make it up yourself?
-
another one in about 9 pages time we can consign to the b*llocks file then.
-
I agree with you there mate. I'd need to earn at least £20k more a year to even consider communiting to London everyday. A pal of mine used to do it, a lot of it was for the image of telling people he worked in London more than anything. He didn't earn that much more either.

You need to lay off the steriods sweetheart. Or show your hilarious song to your mum, she'll laugh and tell you how clever you are.
-
I liked the jokes people make, like whenever we are linked with a player and he is worth, say £4m, someone usually came up with the quite brilliant gag, "make it £4.5m and Pulis" and other equally as funny one along them same lines. There were endless hilarious jokes involving these two that had me regularly in stitches.
-
Very much so. Just look at the self congratulation after the Pompey arrests and sentances. Slapping themselves on the back with their convictions safe in the knowledge making examples of a few fence rattling fall guys justifed the cost and budget secured for another year. They loved it, they were almost hoping it would kick off. THe police even had a film crew following them around on the day FFS!!! I agree with you that they want incidents to occur. Easy nickings, easy bannings and plenty of self backslapping when the arrests are made and convictions and bans handed out.
