  1. And the average manager these days lasts how long??? Of course if you are a PL manager then you could always live off your huge pay off from your last job until West Ham, Wigan, etc or even some top NPC jobs become available and get all that in a year or less.
  2. Exactly, look at our managers in the PL and CCC, yet in L1 we think we are going to get one of the best in Britain!
  3. which is exaclty why he wont get the job. We know NC's view on the media and he wont want a manager that blabs to the press.
  4. Lambert was a decent player at top level, but didn't exactly set the world of fire at Wycombe, Livingston and Colchester as a manager. Point i was making though it that Lambert is reveared on here by some, yet Adkins arguably has a better record.
  5. only saying it before someone else did
  6. He'd be a decent appointment, not quite what was touted at the weekend but all the same has achieved 2 promotions in three seasons from this league with a side no where near as good and a much smaller club. The problem is the majority of our fan base are seriously deluded. It seems that the only one the majority would accept it O'Neill, one of Britains best managers, one or two aren't even overly keen on him. Any other L1 club would love to have a manager like Adkins CV, compare his record to that of Paul Lamberts, who in some peoples eyes is some sort of managerial god.
  7. Although i did go on to say despite your claims...... I agree with you on that, Keegan would be a "brilliant" fit, (what is it about you and that word) right person, right place, right time and all that. I think only he and O'Neill are appointments that all fans would be 100% behind, however i dont think either is likely, mores pity. I wont guarentee it though, nothing is guarenteed.
  8. because some of our fans are dreamers.
  9. maybe we are going to Elliot Ward him. Adkins sitting in his hotel waiting to be told where to go tomorrow, then rung up and told the deal if off and MON unveiled?
  10. agree with you again Bessie mate, Pilgrim House buffet is top drawer.
  11. Agree with this, i like the idea of KK as manager, but cant see him wanting or agreeing to not be the main man at the club and have sole owenership over transfers, scouting etc.
  12. Yes i did, so people did think it was my opinion, like you did
  13. Read it again, I am quoting and challanging CB Frys view that Keegan would guarentee us promotion. You need to ask that question to Mr Fry.
  14. "Was talking about this the other day and I honestly think that Kevin Keegan is the only guaranteed success from all the available candidates and I include MO'N in that. Keegan will get us promoted, this season, no question, without fail. I truly truly believe it. At this level, with the players we have, all we need is Keegan. We need his star quality, his inspiration, his personality, his passion and drive. Keegan and a couple of hand picked coaches. Organise them. Make them feel ten feet tall. Tell them they can and will win the division. " I have doubt about every single candidate in the frame, except Kevin Keegan. Guaranteed, guaranteed promotion." I would say the above, despite your claims not to be, are symptoms of a Keegan lover. Guarenteed promotion, he is all we need, promtion without question, better than MON who is one of Britains best managers etc. That's assuming he gets his way, nothing goes against him, the going doesn't get a bit tough for him and because of this he doesn't show us a clean pair of heels, right? There you go again, using that word brilliant. I'm not bothering with that argument anymore as you just cant seem to grasp the difference between saying someone is brilliant and someone having a decent chance of being a success. Unless of course you are talking about Keegan.
  15. in three seasons too i believe.
  16. you must be glad the kit this season is pretty much all white, in the past the red and your hair must clash and look horrdendous.
  17. Well i guess all the others jumping on the, Keegan is gods gift to football management and would turn us into the new Barcelona bandwagon, haven't had their posts twisted by you in a lame attempt to prove a point have they. Of course in your eyes, Keegan would be brilliant and is guarenteed to be a success wouldn't he. Welll done for joing the mass of deluded mental fans we have.
  18. It's similar to when Hoddle quit Saints for Spurs. We were a better team than them at the time, moving to a bigger stadium and above them in the league, yet Spurs were an underachiving club who are bigger than us, obviously in ours and S****horpes case its a division difference between us but Saints are a bigger club and career wise a step up for a manager, in the same way that leaving Saints for Spurs would be.
  19. You see, there you go again, i didn't say they'd be brilliant at all, as you well know. I actually think Keegan would be a decent shout as manager but to claim he'd be guarenteed to be a success is full hardy and hypocritical, given your stance in our previous discussion. No one is guarenteed of success. Of course you are also convniently overlooking that Keegan got his first job based on his name and no management experience and is a proven quitter when things dont go his way, but then why use facts & history when you can attempt to twist statements to assist your arguement.
  20. well yeah, i do actually, because your opinion is hypocritical. You slated me for my opinion that a relatively successful manager at a higher level is likely to be successful at a lower league, claiming i was saying anyone who had managed in the premier league is guarenteed to be a success, which is not at all what i said, no one is guarenteed to be successful, yet here you are claiming Keegan is. Hello hypocrisy.
  21. to be fair they have probably read some of the sh*t on here. The only person who everyone seems to agree on is O'Neill, one of Britains top managers. Outside of that no one else is good enough for the majority. If i was an outside looking in i'd be thinking what a bunch of c*nts, to be honest, i think that anyway being on the inside as a saints fan.
  22. the bookies dont seem to agree with you. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/8377785.Betting_on_Adkins_suspended/
  23. Based on what?
  24. But i'm not ginger.
  25. no no, it's okay, we were waiting for the loan window to open to get the cast offs from the premier leagues 25 man squads.
