  1. Bit harsh on Paul Hart though,
  2. “For once, it wasn’t just his team that got spanked,”:lol: To be honest, i didn't know any of that, dont care much for Derby. His record of promtion is exceptional though.
  3. I dont care, he gets teams promoted, what they do outside of work doesn't interest me. In anycase, it's not like they have been accused of rape is it. It takes two (or more) to f*ck.
  4. No to Paul Jewell yet you want someone who has got experience on getting teams promoted? Jewell done both of your criteria, he did this from L1 to the Prem with Wigan and CCC to the Prem with Bradford, surely Jewell has a better reputation for promtion than any of the ones you say you want?
  5. at the time wasn't it hailed a masterstroke? The more i think about it, outside of the dream pair of O'Neill or Curbishley, i think Paul Jewell is the man for the job. He is very good at getting teams promoted.
  6. everyone is ITK.
  7. We dont know the reasons why, but based on results and the fact it was the last day of the transfer window we should have kept him until November at least.
  8. It's nothing to do with him being a Crewe fan, it's peoples opinions outside of SO postcodes as to who would join us and how deluded some fans are that they expect this or better. Given Pardews sacking, i expect someone decent, but at the same time am not arrogantly expecting a whole host of top bosses to be falling over themselves to join us like some seem too.
  9. It was madness to sack him. SOme of you, as well as being mental, dont read things properly. WHat i said was people have grip of us being a league one club. Turing their nose up at Alan Curbishley, one person even Martin O'Neill FFS.
  10. You are very good at only reading what you want to. No where have i said it guarentees success. No one, not Mounrinho, Fergusson, etc is certain to be successful. What is likely though is that if someone has been (relatively) successful at a higher level then they are likely to be successful at a lower level. It's common sense. If you actually read my posts on other threads, i would like Paul Jewell as our manager, because he is good at getting team promoted, what he is evidently not so good at is keeping them there. Something Zola has done, like it or not, which you wont as it doesn't suit you agenda. Steve bruce seemed to do okay with Wigan so it shows it was possible to be realtively successful there. And look at West Ham now, bottom and pointless with a supposedly better manager than Zola. If you also care to read the original post properly, i said we should be grateful to get a manager with top flight experence as many are going on about Zola hasn't done this, Curbishley hasn't done that etc. We are a league one club FFS.
  11. f*ckin' hell, where do you go?
  12. The fact that we have approach Paul Hart suggests this, unless it's a smokescreen, but i doubt it.
  13. 95% of fans excel at that.
  14. Not anymore you cant
  15. Which is why i never go there unless its specifically to buy something.
  16. I'm not so against it for evening games, a lot of people, myself included might go to the match without any tea, so then it is slightly more acceptable. Most games are 3pm, does everyone stop at 3.45 during a working week and go and feel their greedy, fat, faces with as much food as they can? Of course they dont, its just greed, I dont understand why people feel the need to fill their faces everytime they leave the house. It's not just football. It's the same when people cant go shopping without having a coffee in the M&S cafe or similar, f*cking restaurants at IKEA now, whatever next???
  17. Dont forget our resident Jimmy Tarbuck double isn't going to home games anymore out of protest due to no payment plan. Maybe the club saw this and deicded it wasn't cost effective now their main customer has gone.
  18. Being someone who goes to football to watch the game and not eat, i had no idea that they had stopped selling pies.
  19. thanks for pi*sing on my bonfire both of you. Obviously not being someone that has to eat every 45 minutes i wouldn't know this.
  20. Bad news for you greedy fat c*nts, apparantly SFC will no longer be selling pies as snacks. Before you all start banging on about my source "Saints Stop Selling Half time pies to Fatties" is hardly headline news. You'll just have to take my word for it on this one and see if you can get one over the next few games, not sure if this is with immediate effect or not though as i'd imagine they'd want to seel the ones they have left, so dont start gleefully tapping away with your chubby little fingers desperate to prove Turkish wrong if you can still get them for the next few games.
  21. Yep, jewell has got a great record in the PL in 5 seasons two relegation and two last day scrapes to stay up. Including No wins at all and a record low points tally at Derby. Great record is that. Of course no one will definitely be a success, the point is that is someone has had relvative success or experience at a higher level there is a better chance than some who hasn't. And i cant mention Curbishley but you can mention Robson to try to prove yours? How does that work? And your point about Mowbray, Davies and Jewell getting promoted into top flight proves my point, all got promoted and then relegated or sacked. So all a success at Championship level, but not in the premier. Thanks very much.
  22. So nothing at all to do with the chairman putting the whole squad up for sale then? Obviously this would make no difference to the morale and performances of certain players. A similar squad finished 9th.
  23. SSN have just said their sources say Paul Hart is high on the wanted list.
  24. :lol::lol: I rest my case!
  25. It depends what your interpretation of success is isn't it. For example Zola did well with an okayish WHU squad to take them to a 9th place finish, for West Ham that is success. Yes they struggled the following season, but that was a lot due to the whole squad being put up for sale and lot sold was it not? Despite this Zola kept them up. Again to me, that is an achievement under the circumstances. Some Boro fans moaned about McClaren despite midtable finishes, one of 7th and their only trophy ever. Some Charlton fans moaned about Curbishley despite midtable finishes regularly, look what happened when he left. It is really that difficult a concept to grasp to suggest that a manager with a reasonable record with an average side, two divisions higher in one of the top leagues in the world could be successful with a very good team for that level, two leagues below? As for your lack of success at Premier league level point. Well Davies, Jewell and Mowbray hardly covered themselves in glory during their time in top flight and Scotland did they, but 5 promtions between them i believe in the Championship and L1. So think again, a manager with a reasonable record at a higher level, is a good bet to have a decent record at a lower level, it's the common sense rule. And Bryan Robson, is, was and alwasy will be a s*it manager, just like Tony Adams.
