  1. I'm not sure which game some of you were watching but it doesn't sound like the one i was. We started well, Chamberlain unlucky not to score when he hit the post, but after the goal we were awful. Failed to put two passes together and a better side than Swindon would have punished us, two or three times the final pass let them down when attacking and they clearly lacked confidence. Their equalizer was on the cards for a while and they were well on top until we scored the second. After the third goal we were well on top and it was only then that we played some decent football and could have scored a couple more, but make no mistake, for 70 minutes we were poor and 4-1, whilst a good win, did not reflect the game which against a better side thn Swindon we would have lost. And another thing, If Barnard doesn't start on tuesday Adkins is mental. GUlly was totally innifective, again, and Barnard looked great when he came on and caused them all sorts of problems.

  4. Jamie! Where have you been? I've missed you!
  5. Glad i didn't disapoint. It's called stating the bleeding obvious. Which team isn't going to be better with the best player in their division in it? Ye they have made a whole story about this. They do it every day with some boring stat or another about something completely uninteresting, like yesterdays article about which team has most games left against other teams in the top half of the league. THe fact that there are only 8 points between 8th and 18th and in 3 games time the top and bottom halves could look totally different seem to be ignored.
  6. the echo bore the f*ck out of me with their daily stats bo*locks. making sh*t articles out of nothing stories to fill up space.
  7. It's difficult to know what result would please him the most. Above he says a big win is good thing, then he says it could be detrimental as we didn't play well after winning 6-0 at Oldham, so winning well could be a bad thing. A narrow win wouldn't be good enough as we should be blowing teams like this away and a draw or a defeat, well, i shudder to think.

    Ultras

I wouldn't mind betting you'd get at least that many complaints at SMS FFS. As i said above the best way to do it would be to get the everyone who wants to sing in one place behind the goal in the Chapel and turn in it into a Kop. One of the best atmospheres i have seen at SMS was the MK Semi final when we had 95% of the Northam, it looked and sounded brilliant. If all the noise was coming from one place it would sound louder and spead to other areas. It's no conicidence where the grounds that have the best atmospheres have a stand like this.

  10. HOw do you think they will set up? A team who haven't won for ten games going into on of their tougest fixtures of the season aren't going to come and play passing attacking football are they. They'll park the bus, now for the obvious gag, lets hope it's Nigels bus they park and he is driving and moves it out of the way.

It could work and could be good but i wouldn't mind betting people in the Northam would moan, slag them off and not join in with them being vilified on here as childish knobs etc, we all know a lot of Saints fans seem to have a superiorty complex. I am off to Rome in September and will be going to Lazio or Roma depending on who is at home that weekend. Either way from what i've on telly the atmoshpere they create looks amazing.

    Ultras

If you look at the Ultras in Italy, France, Turkey and some of the eastern European contries their ends look fantastic with everyone stood up singing and big flags everywhere and flares. They take over and end of the ground as their own and are pretty much left to get on with it. For this to happen at SMS you would need everyone from the Notham , Kingsland & Itchen North in the chapel end and create that as our own end and make it like a Kop rather than having the singing diluted around the groud as it is now with than for some reason people thinking they need to be near the away fans. With policing in England at football today though get any sort of atmosphere going is quickly stamped upon by the authorities. We have seen people thrown out and given bans for things like standing up, swearing, or waving flags. Until the authorities lighten up a bit and allow people to relax and enjoy themselves at football rather than being desperate to eject and ban anyone that doesn't toe the line and behave like they are in sunday service at the local church.
  13. Doesn't everyone? I do xxx
  14. Jackie Chan doesn't look like a failed wannabe rock star lookalike. Chris Evans could play RObsk Hugh Grant could play Dell Days.
  15. was that the game when it poured with rain and the Spurs keeper should have been sent off for bring shearer down? Waddle chipped Flowers (?)
  16. He'd do, although possibly Christian Bale, Jason Statham or Ed Norton are a good fit. Although i am prone to bursts of anger so Joe Pesci tends to play those sort of characters well. Dune would have to be Russell Crowe, a great fit after his role in Romper Stomper.
  17. Who would play you? It would have to be someone young and cool, fantastically intellegent but in a cool way. Someone that women want and men want to be, Prehaps Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt?
  18. Well only one really Super Mikey.
  19. I think you'd make a great film director or screen writer Super Mikey. You have all the characteristics of one. Sharp, intellegent, creative, witty etc. With your incredible intellegence and knowledge of everything no bridge would be too far for you. You wouldn't create this bizare films about made up worlds. You'd do real films for real people, cutting edge dramas which are a rollercoaster ride of emotion, gritty yet charming, hilarious yet moving. You would take film making to another level, stretching the envelope, you would stand shoudler to shoulder with Lee, Scorcse, Tarantino etc and "step aside you lot, get out of the photo shot, SuperMikey is all we are interested in"
  20. Plus i've always fancied Jo Wiley. Remember seeing her years ago at Glastonbury caked in mud wearing a short denim skirt and boots, never has a woman looked such a mess but been so incredilby sexy at the same time.
  21. would yah?
  22. To be fair i am coming round to his way of thinking, you cant lose. Saturday if we fail to win, or even a narrow win, its because the team dont want it, we should be blowing teams like Swindon away, squad not good enough etc. If we go two or three up at half time rest players for the next game and we dont score another or concded he can argue this proves we lack quality depth because they didn't do as well as the first 11. If we go on and win 7-0 then we should really be closing the game down and not using up energy with a midweek game to come. He's already implied on this thread that a big win will be both a great win and detremental, got to love it.
  23. You need to get over your obsession with starting arguements with me. On the one hand you say you agree with our man who says he will only be happy with winning 3-0 or more yet now you seem to think a big win wont be a good win and will have a detremental effect of the team. Which is it to be?
  24. Personally if it were me and we were 2-0 up at half time i'd be encouraging the team to go on and smash Swindon to build confidence and send out (another) message to the division. Any team coming of the back of a 5-0 win shouldn't worry about being rested, they should be desperate to play the next game.
