  1. I agree we do need two more signings to complete what would be a very strong squad, but to say we are significantly weaker is nonsense. We have simply cleared out the dead wood. This will see other players playing more of a role, Holmes, if he can stay fit, Mills, Oxlainde-Chamberlain, Mcneish, Martin will all feature more often which can only be a good thing as although i've only seen them when they have played at SMS, Pardew clearly rates them and he has got very little wrong so far.
  2. Why because we haven't signed 23 players in the window? We signed 5 in January, 4 discounting JO, 3 in the summer, 7 new signings in 7 months 5 of which have undoubtedly improved the first XI.
  3. Do you not think we will get promoted then?
  4. there must be something beind it, i cant imagine that a dad with 4 inches would produce a son with 8 inches.
  5. Howard would fit the bill as cover for Lambert.
  6. what determines the length of it? Is it herdeitory or are other factors involved? Or is it just that some people are born lucky, some unlucky and some just average?

  8. agree with most of what you say, but i think Hudderfield will be a threat, they were strong last season with a young squad who will be better for their full season together, they have added a couple of experienced heads, i expect them to have a good season.
  9. Charlton manager said the other day he needs 8 players just to be competitive, they have lost their best players, Shelvey, Bailey, richardson, i dont see them as a threat. Sheffield wednesday and Peterborough are not as good as Leeds and Norwich.
  10. Why? We have not one but two decent right backs, we had none last season, we have the best left back in the divison last season. We have shed a lot of the dead wood and older players to free up space the squad for emerging youngesters like Martin,Oxlainde-Chamberlain and Mcneish, we have kept all our 'star' players. The only place we are lacking cover for RL, which we didn't have last season, an additional CM, which we didn't have last season and a replacement for Antonio & Waigo, defence is stronger, attack is as was, midfielder weaker by one player, by none if Holmes or Oxlainde Chamberlain are earmarked for have a bigger role this season, either way hardly significantly weaker,
  11. the top 3 will be us, Huddersfield, Sheff Wed, not sure of the order though.
  12. for picking spots and scabs.
  13. My brother (stupidly) payed a load of 'travellers' £150 to tarmac his drive, (apparantly they had some left over after doing a drive down the road ) suffice to say it was not a job well done

He hasn't won anything that matters then, what has he won? Queens? that is like Chelsea winning the charity shield, a nice to have but means FA.

I didn't say he wasn't good, but he has never won anything, to be considered excellent then surely titles ae the benchmark of this? If Murray goes his whole career without winning anything will he be remember of as a great, like Samprass, Nadal, Feder etc? No, he'll be remembered as yet another Tim Henman, a nearly man never quite up to it.

I dont agree, Feder and Nadal are excellent, as was Samprass, Borg, they actually won things, Murray hasn't. Its like arguing someone is a really great salesman that has never made a sale, the argument that 'well i've got close a few times' doesn't quite wash does it.
  22. How can she possibly be angry that her husband works full time? Surely she'd have more to moan about if he sat at home on his arse all day?A dog she chose to buy, a nanny she chose to have because of the career she wont give up to be a full time mum. I notice she never moaned about having to go abroad for work, just all stuff at home.
  23. Good Lord, what an utter c*nt of a woman! I particuarly liked the fact she got angry because she couldn't find her dress for a work function she was attending and had to by a replacement, then that her husband lecturers her on not wasting money, presumably if wasn't such a f*ck wit and didn't lose her clothes she wouldn't have to waste money on replacements? And that she rates her anger 8/10 for not speaking to people she claims to love, well if you love them that much?? She needs a good kick up the c*nt. Female lifestyle columnists are whinging banshees, bar none.
  24. Yes, your point being?
  25. What he said, although another central midfielder wouldn't go amiss.
