  1. Show me the link that proves that we signed more players with long names under this chairman that we did under Lowe. Want to meet up in the Chilworth Arms for a 'chat'?
  2. I dont see what point you are trying to make, no one he is saying he is the best right back in the history of football, just that it is a good signing. A player who has played his whole career at a higher level, was rated by his previous clubs fans and manager, can player in 3 positions and is experenced but not old. Is this not a good signing?
  3. Lloyd 'for ****s sake' James
  4. So some players over 30 are good enough but some aren't and some players under 30 are good enough but some aren't. Who would you rather have in the centre of your defence Jaidi or Lancashire? Surely ability is the most important thing? Has Butterfield still got it? Judging by comments from his previous club it would seems so.
  5. Have you just double dropped a couple of e's?
  6. I am a little arrogant in some ways, in terms of that i feel that in a lot of ways i am cut above most, because i am open minded (dont get me started on that ;-) ) but always repsectful when i go abroad and am always embarassed by the british tourists, i have been to africa on many occasions to many parts, not done Thailand yet but is on my list as is Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. The thing that annoys me the most if how the brits describe the locals as 'lovely, friendly people' like they were expecting baby eating assasins on every street corner, with people living in holes in the road begging them to give them their loose change. I agree, and refer you to my above thread about kids, we could learn a lot from the east, especially in terms of family values and discipline, they really are the bench mark for this, maybe Mr Cameron need to cast an eye in that direction rather than his 'hug a hoodie'****e.
  7. this signing seems to fit the two good players for every position model, great to see such strength in depth and having 24 good players in a squad not 35 average ones like we had in our PL relegation season, a smaller quality squad is what wins things.
  8. the only one i thought would go was Schneiderlin, he seems happy though, so far so good.
  9. apart from when they are rioting Probably because the religion over there is Buddism which teach treat other like you want to be treated etc, fair play to them, what a way to live, lot to be said for eastern culture over the arrogance of the west.
  10. Turkish

    Murty??

    no, i dont.
  11. Exactly like him, he should be touted as an example of what not to be, just like him...
  12. lol at the timing of the accouncements, funny as, great signing though, experienced, versatile and can play at a higher level. Just a RM, CM, ST to go ;-)
  13. sadly you are probably right and that is the problem with this country, its gone soft, to busy worried about offending minority groups or appearing to discriminate, when a parent cant punish an erring child without being worried about being reported to social services then the world is a ****ed up place.
  14. It could be that in some cases but in a lot i think it is what he said further up, that they think the sun shines out of thier precious offsprings arse and even when they behave awfully make excuses for them. How many parents go mad when a kiddie gets told off at school these days? When i was about 9 i got in trouble for throwing wet paper towels at some pictures on the wall done by a lad i didn't like in another class, i got a letter sent home and banned from a school trip as punishment, when i got home got the wooden spoon treatment, these days a lot of parents would be up the school going mad at the teachers for punishing their pride and joy!!
  15. I saw yet another example of this at the gym tonight. I was stood at the bar (obviously after an intensive workout) at the end of the bar is a kids play area where this fit, sexy, mid thirties lady was calling her son who was about 7 for about five minutes and being totally ignored, eventually she went into the play area and grabbed hold of him by the arm saying polietly 'come on' he promptly started throwing a massive paddy, pinching her arm hard and screaming at her 'dont rush me mother' Much to my amazement the sexy lady didn't give the ****bag the hiding of his life for behaving like that in public, she told him quietly that she had to or he would be late for swimming. F*** me, if that was my son he'd have got a wallop there and then and taken straight home, the only swimming he'd be doing would be between their sheets at home in bed.
  16. Most kids these days think they have a right to that and dont have to work hard to get there.
  17. Looked that myself this year, maybe consider it March/April time next year. Or there is always all inclusive at Sharm El Shiek Best holiday destination for me is Italy, the place is amazing whatever part you go. The best holiday i have done though was a safari in Tanzania and Kenya, which included a dawn hot air balloon ride in the Serengeti, stuff of dreams.
  18. And Rod Bransgrove HCC, not for him either.
  19. Yeah Gazelles are a bit of a timeless classic, bought my first pair in 1994, remember it well, wore them with jeans and a blur t-shirt and had a Damon Albarn haircut, which changed into an attempt at 'a Liam' then brushed forward job, then shaven the thinner it got.
  20. Yeah i know, i think it's the idea of it, another blokes sweaty pits or arse in my clothes. I am even funny about letting peole borrow my stuff. I am a big addidas fan, the spezials are good, have you had a look in Size in town? My most recent purchase was a pair of grey forest hills with blue soles, cracking with a nice cut pair of jeans.
  21. Mel Sykes, she nearly made it onto my picture list, was close. She is amazing. I was close to cracking one out of Suzannah Reid this morning, saw her on Breakfast, what a sight to wake up to, fantastic legs on her, so googled her with these results....
  22. They are all selfish little ****ers too, really annoys me, even something like offering sweets winds me up. When we were kids we were always told to offer sweets to other people first if we were given some, above friends little boy used to sometimes come to the pub after work and he'd sit there greedily chomping away at a whole bag of sweets without offering any to anyone else, its not that i wanted a sweet, it was that he never offered, which to me is basic manners. He'd then sit there moaning and complaing about everything. I'd rather have a son that was a bit of a little c*** and was out causing mischief than a selfish, whining little **** that is a contast pain the arse, at least then they have got a bit of personality and spark. You are spot on what you say about their parents thinking the sun shines out of their arses, i know plenty like that.
  23. But then it goes the other way with mothers and sons, a friend of mine pampers and spoils the little kid and is totally obsessed by him. She has even been know to go home from work do's on a couple of occasions in tears because the baby sitter has rung her saying he wont go to bed because he is missing mummy so she goes rushing to be by his side. He is really spoilt little brat, one of those whinging little boys you just know is going to turn into a total wet blanket when he gets older, just like his dad.
  24. So what trainers are you into? I'm a big adidas fan myself, so squirmed a little bit at the thought of you in your TK Maxx outfit with a decent pair of trainers on
  25. No, they are a plumbers merchants, nothing to do with football.
