They really miss Doucoure, he would at least put himself about a bit and broken some play up. From the bits I saw they looked really lightweight in the centre of midfield allowing us to completely dominate and control the game. They just looked a team lacking any bottle, a bit like we were a year ago as soon as things started to go against them they didn’t know how to turn it round and got steam rollered by a more physical team. It was great to see given we’ve been on the other end of those sort of performances for a while

Did you know the year Pompey won it those 3 were the other semi finalists? It still winds me up that they only had one tough game on their way to the final and got unreal luck in that. they got absolutely battered, United missed chance after chance, few off the line, hit the post then their winner was from a soft penalty given for a foul by United sub keeper after Van Der Saar got injured. Sub keeper sent off which meant for the penalty they had Rio Ferdinand in goal and United had to finish the game with 10 men and an outfield player as glovesman. After an easy first two rounds, lucky 5th round win they got championship clubs in the semi final and final. Got to be one of the spawniest cup wins ever. Everything from the draw they got all the way through, luck in their hardest game, IIRC even one of the games in the earlier rounds they won by an injury time own goal. When have we had that sort of luck with anything?

Surely potential to exploit that relationship along with our historical links to Bilbao, plenty of fans in Basque Country who would love a premier league club to support. Direct ferry links to Hampshire from Bilbao as well so thousands of them can get here easily.

Can vouch for Leeds as my local premier league club. Tried on a couple of occasions to get tickets well before match day. Complete sell out and referred to the membership System to have a chance in future. £50 for standard membership or £80 for membership plus for me £30 for 8 year old son so £110 just to have a chance to get a ticket, plus the ticket cost itself to watch two teams im not bothered about at least one of which is currently in the bottom 6. We’re going to see our local league two club instead, £20 for the pair of us and no hilarious Bantz between fans to endure. I’ve managed to get a few corporate tickets for the saints game fortunately as I do a lot of work with a premier league sponsor but no chance will I be able to get a Leeds ticket outside of this. Never had that sort of problem at saints. If you want a ticket and get in early enough you can generally get one
