I've just joined my local box. So far so good!! I've just completed the fundamentals which i understand they have to do but is basic stuff along with a couple of workouts, looking forward to getting cracking now. I love the concept of it, the instructors i've met and worked with so far are very, very good, far better than most of the gym instructors i've come across. The only downside is a couple of times i've arrived a bit early to spy what is going on and there are a couple of blokes in each group who insist on taking their tops off every time, of course they are in very good shape but seriously lads come on, FFS

hi Stu, Harrogate town are my local club as well. I moved up here 7 years ago, been going fairly regularly since a they were in the conference north. You will see my son at games sometimes in a Town shirt wearing saints shorts. Usually go with another Saints fan who lives in the area. It's a great club, my son was playing at their kids academy before lock down & also goes to their summer camps. Josh Falkingham runs it and is also the captain of the first team. What they have achieved is fantastic in a short space of time, two promotions in three years, playing great football with the same manager and a core of the same players. With redeveloping the ground and the made the locals realise there is a football club in the town. Its absolutely ridiculous though that promotion has cost them the best part of £1m to replace the pitch plus playing the first 3 or 4 games at Doncaster over an hour away along with all the revenue they make from having the pitch in use pretty much every day of the year, the Football League really do need to move with the times, clubs in these leagues need all the cash they can get. Be interesting to see how Harrogate do next season, after the Notts County game one of the commentators said they could see them going up from league two but that is going to be a tall order, a small town with a 5k capacity are going to have a ceiling and i think league 2 may be it, but it's been a great few years for the club and town. Crowds up from a couple of hundred to 1500, had 3,000 there for the conference north play off final and the Pompey game so be interesting to see if they can continue to grow and how much impact Leeds being back in the premier league will have.

This is nothing new. Fans of my age and older will remember the Football combination which was exactly the same as this, lots of teams had a reserve team which would play in this league. I really dont know why they stopped it as it made absolute sense . Players not in the first team squad able to get match time, injured players able to ease themselves back in and a good pathway for young players to make the step up from the youth team as it was kind of a half way between youth football and first team. Games always used to be played at the Dell with good crowds sometimes, it was cheap to get in and free entry if you were a junior saints member so we used to go to quite a few as kids.

Just got a text from my contact, seems like things are happening. I can’t say much but I can share the following.... Salisu is done, work permit due this week. We’re also close to signing talented Spanish full back from Spain. Hojbjerg move to spurs getting closer but spurs yet to meet our valuation, once it’s done expect us to move for a VERY highly rated American playing in the bundesliga , he wouldn’t give me his name but I understand he’s a top player. Club still keen on KWP but may look elsewhere, he thinks Ralph is a fan of Cash at Forest. other news hoedt may be off to a Belgian club, no further news on Vestergaard leaving but club think he will go and when he does we will replace. also expect two key players to sign new contracts soon. I’ll share any other snippets soon as I am allowed to tell them.
