If he wants to "see" ambition rather than hear about it then imagine he will say that he will sign a new contract once he has seen what business we do over the summer. Perfectly reasonable.

If you sell Lukaku and Stones then for Koeman that would just be the same as us selling Mane and Wanyama. Koeman may likely not stay at Saints beyond the final year of his contract (he won't leave before then) but when he leaves it will be for a more traditional big club I think. His and Wenger's contracts expire at the same time and that seems his most likely destination to me. Everton even with a bit of money are not going to be a regular CL team. Neither are Saints. He will move to someone who is.

Exactly. If Wilshere is bit then he is our best central midfielder (Alli is an attacking midfielder for the purpose of this comment). If Wilshere plays all three friendlies and is fit enough then he will and should start ahead of the likes of Milner, Henderson, Drinkwater. A midfield three of Wilshere, Dier and Alli just ahead is our best for a while IMO.

Wilshere is a better midfielder than Henderson, Milner, Dier, Drinkwater etc so if he can prove he is fit then he should be picked. If he isn't fit then he is one of the three who drops. Easy decision for Hodgson and not sure why people find it so odd (probably because they don't like Wilshere or Hodgson).

MOTD seems to have turned the sound down pretty low from today. Very quiet.

Thought Pelle was excellent when he came on. If he wants to go and we can replace then fair enough but certainly wouldn't actively look to sell - he is a good player, a different option to what we have and has a good goal record.

Hopefully 15th September. Makes quite a big difference to pre season.

Spurs and West Ham fans having a tough end to the season just makes it better! Apparently Wenger fist pumped when someone in the crowd told him Spurs were 4-1 down! He must have been relieved too.
