Cardiff apparently want well over £10m for Marshall so on that basis I can't see us making a move for him. Certainly debateable whether he is better than Boruc, if you compared the careers of the two Boruc would come out on top, albeit Marshall is slightly younger. Personally, I think Boruc is too good to be a no2, especially at a club not in the Champions League or fighting for major trophies.

He said as much as he could really. Quite clear there will still be a lot of developments, both in and out this window. When you add contract talks for Cork and Fonte there is a hell of a lot to be done to get ready for Aug 16th. Certainly unlikely that for first couple of friendlies we will have anything like the team that will play in the league.

Hopefully Jay Rod might be back around the time when the games get tougher, would be a nice boost. Last season we were so well prepped going into the first game with a great preseason and two key signings done. Will be tough to do the same this year.

Best way to generate more ST sales at this stage would be some good signings.

If Lallana stays there is no way he will lose the captaincy. If its that tense etc that its even a possibility then he will force through a move somehow.

Thanks for posting. 1. Can imagine ST sales have been poor. 2. I would doubt other players would be ****ed off with Lallana. If he ended up staying Im sure they wouldnt have lost any respect for him and should be no captaincy issue. I would think they all understand his situation is tough and most would have done the same.

None. Always very, very respectful & complimentary about the Club in any interview I have heard. A lot of character assassination going on here. If he leaves I would hope he could be given a great reception whenever he came back to SMS otherwise what hope does the football world have?

Disagree personally. Lallana doesn't owe us anything. He has been largely superb for four or five seasons and reality is he has been just as good for the Club as the Club has for him.

He ends up annoyed with us when he should be annoyed at them for not valuing him enough.

Obviously knows who he is now, but I bet if you asked him a year ago he probably knew little of his career at all. Didn't he say recently his first England memory was in 2006 or something like that? Koeman is from a different era to the likes of Luke. He had only just turned 8 when Rooney made his Everton debut. Not saying age means you have never heard of players from a past era, but I doubt Shaw would suddenly decide to stay because of Koeman. A Van Gaal or Mourinho would be equally, if not more attractive to play for.

I would almost guarentee that Shaw wouldn't have heard of Koeman until he was linked with us, and almost certainly would have no idea of his achievements as a player.

They way it should be. Krueger obviously has many qualities, but no question his public statements so far have been horrendous.
