Tottenham build up thread ...a question posed
Saint Charlie replied to Yorkshire Saint's topic in The Saints
Truely baffling. Thought otherwise he handled the game well considering how hyper charged it was (aside from his usual posturing). -
Amazing Dier didn't get a second yellow then.

Dier could easily have gone. Lamela could be banned. Dembele surely will. Rose off injured. Toby injured. #carnage -
Draw perfect for us.

Hazard poor most of the season but that was so good. He has changed the game.

Get in!!!!!

Yep. You are a better fan than me. Hats off. Jesus.

It is a thread about their game. And they have won a lot of their games recently. I dislike them a lot but can still respect how Pochettino has turned them into a quality side. Hopefully Chelsea can get an undeserved equaliser!

There is no **** on the sheets though? Besides, they ARE a strong team. Clearly. -
You have some kind of complex about Pochettino. Pretty obvious Spurs are a really good side, nothing wrong with stating that. Its there for all to see... Chelsea utterly woeful tonight though. So many bad eggs. Conte has a tough job.

Would rather face any other team in terms of liklihood to win. But yes, should be a good game.

They are such a strong team, its probably the toughest game you could get which is a right pain considering its must win for our Europa hopes. Dembele would be a big loss though. -
But that was because he has barely been back since he left so Saints fans havent had a good opportunity to say thanks. Le Tiss is at numerous games, always gets a great reception and his song is often sung despite retiring ages ago. Its not a competition anyway.

There is no reason to distrust them. Its just frustrating that it seems like deja vu every summer. Fans cannot be blamed for being frustrated that players (and Managers) seem reluctant to commit to Saints. Despite being top 10 the past 3 years only Fonte and Davis of regular starters have signed new contracts. Most realise Wanyama and Mane will go and I hope we replace them better than we did Clyne and Schneiderlin. Beyond that, if we sell more players then sooner or later it has to become difficult to maintain the standards. This season VVD aside its been the 2014 signings and players we have had for longer who have been the key men. With the money we bring in plus the TV revenue it would be good to see us be a bit more ambitious with signings this summer versus the last. Feel Ralph sometimes gets carried away with his public comments and (not maliciously) often exagerates. His recent comments about contract discussions with Koeman is an example, only for Koeman to come out and say there haven't actually been contract talks but just the more philosophical plan stuff. Very similar to their comments re Pochettino. Would prefer him to be more reserved and just stick to the facts.

Given we have got ourselves into such a good position of late its the worst next game we could have - Spurs just look excellent, solid and a big threat going forward with so much energy.
-
I don't think anyone directly compares them anyway?
-
Chelsea are an absolute mess. Spurs could do them convincingly.
-
Interesting. Where did you read that? I would have thought it was much lower but assume the Club have provided the demographics info.
-
I think it was just because we haven't really had a chance to say "thanks & goodbye" to Lambert. Le Tiss is on the pitch a couple of times a season at least. Still gets the reception he deserves every time. Lambert being there was a nice suprise hence the reaction being greater. Just a shame nobody can hear what they say.

I am, he is adequate. Not as good as Clyne and never will be, but better than Cedric so far and has done ok. What I am contesting is your continual assertation that Clyne was poor/badly struggled when he first joined us - simply not true!

Which was the best Glasgow character: Barry Sanchez, Bournemouth Saint or Griffo? Griffo is a bit more understated than the others but pretty funny I reckon.
-
Why would anyone need a scapegoat after a 4-2 win against Man City?
-
Weather affected today but well on top in the context of the game.

Wanyama was excellent yesterday, wins so many duels that are not in his favour and was good with the ball also. Big hole to fill if he does go.
