  1. Scoreline flatters them but typical of us with too much sloppy play.
  2. What a shame Smallbone doesn't do that at the other end of the pitch.
  3. Bit unlucky to be one down to a deflected shot. We've put together some good moves but as often is the case let down by weak finishing. Probably be hard to get back into it now but at last we've put on a decent display.
  4. What are we not being told about Downes injury?
  5. Not very confident with that line-up. Think RM could have been much braver. Could be a scrappy affair and they'll probably have enough to beat us. Disappointed.
  6. They are two well-known Liverpool players 🙂
  7. I think Nunez and Salah might start for them.
  8. I'd be amazed if that is their starting line-up.
  9. I didn't claim we'll beat them but said I'd like to see us pick a strong side.
  10. Yeah, I heard him spouting away to impress his co-commentator in one game talking about a famous composer and I suspected he'd got his facts totally wrong - I did a quick check on line and found he was talking out of his backside. His opening lines for matches are clearly scripted in advance. Nothing wrong with that but he does go totally over the top.
  11. To lose a 15 point lead in 12 games would take some sort of collapse so don't see it happening.
  12. Us being heavy favourites will largely depend on how we do in our remaining games because right now, based on 3 defeats in 4, we are probably 3rd favourites in that group.
  13. It's more of a realist view than a defeatist view. With Leicester, Ipswich and Leeds (unbeaten at home) to play away and with us sat 5 points behind second and 11 points behind first, realistically we aint getting one of the two auto spots - the side isn't good enough from what I am seeing.
  14. Why. We aren't getting an automatic spot and we are nailed on for play-offs. I view it as a good time to put out our strongest available team and see how they do against Klopp's collection of experience and yoof.
  15. He was in the pictures from training ahead of the Millwall game.
  16. Not doing himself any favours, very petty. He may not like how they played but the fact of the matter is they took the 3 points so a quick hand shake was all that was required rather than a juvenile snub. None of us like losing but he should be big enough to take it on the chin.
  17. It's not the first time he's got into verbals with fans. He should be rising above it not taking the bait.
  18. Players or managers who read fans forums are daft. They must know that what they'll read is dependent on the most recent results and that goes for any club in the country. If they are offended or disappointed by forum content the answer is simple - don't read them.
  19. To lose 2 home games on the trot at this stage of the season when in a race for an automatic promotion spot is a pretty poor show from RM and the players. All the hard work during the unbeaten run has been tossed away. It's too easy to blame it on the loss of Downes. We should have a team selection and method of playing in place to cope with the loss of any player. As we've seen we don't have which is a very big flaw for a team going all out for promotion. Unprofessional doesn't even begin to cover it.
  20. Yes, it's likely they'll play a number of reserves and get the game won then take a breather so doubt it'll be anything approaching 9-0....fingers crossed.
  21. After the 3 recent defeats alarm bells are ringing because team selection, use of subs, lack of motivation and limited tactics have been root causes imo.
  22. Wednesday will give us a good idea how decent or hopeless Lumley is because he is likely to be busy.
  23. Exactly and, in doing so, a well oiled machine has become a clapped out jalopy.
  24. But the style of football remained the same predictable stuff.
