Lack of self belief and courage partly due to the way the manager sets us up and asks us to play. Too scared of conceding then, when we are 1 or 2 down we have no choice other than to play how we should play.
-
He should smash all of them like that.

Strange, we seemed to carry far more of a goal threat after Elyounoussi went off - coincidence I'm guessing.

Battling point after being 3-1 down and after losing both our centre backs. Probably needed more but fair play for the come back. Nice to score twice from open play.

Us, Bmuff and one other.

Goal difference isn't going to be a factor for our relegation.

Really, in that case why do his corners never generate any sort of panic in opposition defences? Why are they continually cleared with the minimum of fuss.?

Another so called expert who is unable to see how bad JWP is at taking corners.

Got to feel for our season ticket holders. Who'd want to have pre-paid and be having to watch this shit every other week?

Zero shots on target in another must win game. FFS!

The red zone makes about as much sense as the zonal marking we employ'

He's not.

It's beyond ridiculous because he offers nothing. And today we drop Alcaraz the only bloke who looks capable of scoring in open play.

You think we play a pressing game? You're seeing something different from me. I would love us to play a proper pressing game but we don't - we play a slow build up that creates nothing. Get back to the high press.

Not sure our poor home record has much to do with the fans. More likely it's caused by our inability to play against teams who employ a low block. We are incapable of breaking them down as we play far too slowly and mainly pass sideways and backwards. We then just get picked off on the break or concede from a set piece - it really is easy for away teams. Until we learn a system that works against a low block it will continue but not sure we have the players capable of doing it.
-
One of our biggest problems is that we are hopeless against sides like Brentford who employ a low block. We just don't have the players smart enough to break down a solid defence. Most teams coming to St Marys employ a low block and this is why we win so few games at home and the football is so incredibly sterile.
-
Exactly. The first 15 minutes of a game are among the most important and we never come flying out the traps. Ok, you can't be completely gung-ho but we never seem to play with much impetus in the opening spell of matches and that sets the tone. We must start being more attacking from the first whistle.

I actually feel sorry for them because their future is fairly predictable. They are an even smaller club than us so will not be able to survive the Premier League for long. The first thing that'll happen is Frank will be tempted away. Then their better players will either be snapped up by bigger clubs or banned for betting indiscretions. Don't see them as long term in the top league.

One shot on target in a crucial game is pretty damning.

Moi stifles us every single time he plays. No surprise we are poor tonight.
-
Maybe busting a gut is the wrong choice of words and I do get that he does do some defensive stuff but surely he's meant to help out offensively. He just never seems to look capable of troubling opponents in that area and we are weaker going forward with him in the side. He's had loads of chances and should be delivering far more especially at this critical time.
-
For me he could at least show that he cares by busting a gut for the team but he seems to just amble through games having zero influence.
-
Disappointed to see Moi starting. It's about time he contributed something in the offensive sense by making some penetrating runs forward or defence splitting passes but not holding my breath. Lavia on the bench also makes us far weaker. Still, I guess Ruben wants to give some a rest after only playing recently. Makes this a bit tougher but still possible we'll get the win.

With 7 points from 4 games, 3 of which were away and included Chelsea and Man Utd, haven't we already started a good run? Think it's more a case of extending a good run.
-
Well we won two of those games 1-0. Clean sheets give you a chance.
