Assuming Che goes who do we expect to lead the line on Saturday? We know AA can't do it, Mara will probably be gone so it will be interesting to see what RM does. Doubt any other incoming striker will be signed in time or risked so it's a tricky one. Perhaps he'll give Tall Paul a start 🙂

JW is going to be a busy man that's for sure. Probably even busier than Darren Mowbray who, from what we're told has been scouring the globe watching every match he can to unearth a nugget or two yet everyone we've been linked with seems to be already known to RM or linked via JW's time at Citeh. Who exactly has been recommended by Mowbray?

As expected it's all heading to decisions being firmed up tomorrow and squeaky bum time. Will probably mean we won't get all our targets but I imagine we're still in limbo because of potential moves for Che, KWP, Sulemana and ABK.

I guess we'll sign Bobby Ball to partner him - should be a good double act.

I think we can probably discount any signings from abroad unless someone is here already and having a medical. These things seem to take forever so I reckon anyone we get now will be UK based.

You make a very good case. My only concern is that Tella scored a lot of goal last season for Burnley so we need someone to do similar. I'm not sure any of our current options have that in their locker but maybe one will step up to the plate and prove me wrong.

Agree with you on Roberts - think he would be great in the Tella role.

I think if he goes we'll probably get Cody Drameh from Leeds. RM likes him and he'll be available now they've signed Djed Spence on loan.

I don't think anyone is hyping him up. Guess we have to remember we're in the Championship so have to cut our cloth accordingly - we'll not attract the better players now. He looks like someone who could come in and do a decent job at this level. Every deal is a gamble as we know to our cost.

I'm never sure what difference it makes by not allowing our transfer targets to become public. Surely all clubs would already be aware of any decent players plus their agents will be touting them around non-stop. I guess it might help a little but not convinced it makes much odds.

Not much news at the moment. I'm sure behind the scenes there is a flurry of activity going on. Guess we just have to wait for the dominoes to fall and see who we get and who we lose.

I wouldn't call Patrick Roberts a viable replacement for Che. Isn't he more of a wide player so might be a replacement for Tella?

Zeqiri from Brighton could be a good fit to play Tella's role. Seems to have gone quiet now though.

We're losing Tall Paul but gaining Little Joe. What's not to like!
