  1. Assume they are seeing things we can't and loving it.

I think it will largely depend on how we perform against Chelsea. Win, lose or draw if there are signs of improvement and a pattern/shape to our play the owners might not be so desperate to get someone in. However, if we are dire then they will be forced to act.

For me Selles is very much an unknown quantity. He has worked under Ralph and Jones both of who would have been making the main decisions - Ralph was known to be quite stubborn and Jones had his other two coaches so it may be that Selles didn't have much of a voice. Ok, he took charge of the Sheff Wed game but those matches are notably difficult and he didn't pick some of the main first teamers because it was the cup. We weren't great on the night but scraped through and I won't judge him on that game. He's obviously going to be in charge for the next few games so let's give him a clean slate and see how he does. I'm hoping he surprises us.
  4. Plus Dave Horseman from B-Team.
  5. Assume it's Alek Gross, Andrew Sparkes and Carl Martin?
  6. Any idea who the other coaches are in the photos apart from Selles?
  7. I think Shearer was only in charge at Newcastle for 8 games - they won 1 drew 2 and lost 5. We need someone for 16 games so not far off half a season. We need to either give the job to Selles for the rest of the season or, find someone who we think has a chance of winning enough games to keep us up.

I haven't heard any so if there have been I've missed them. With Marsch having not worked out I imagine SR will be continuing to work towards bring in a new manager and Selles gets the gig until then.
  9. I'd also class him as part of SR. However, with his other business interests to run, I'd be surprised if he has much time to get involved with day to day decisions at our club. I would imagine he leaves it to the guys running SR to make decisions and they go to him with proposals and requests for money to facilitate their plans. Ok, he then has to make a decision whether to release funds but I'd expect that to be about as involved as he gets. Ankersen and Kraft are supposedly clever guys so Dragan wouldn't expect to have to hold their hands.
  10. I'm not nit-picking because there is plenty to pile on to SR about. It's clear that Dragan is the big investor, it's his money they're freely spending so if I want to credit anyone with putting investment into the club it goes to Dragan not the other clowns.
  11. Right so my take is that he's providing the money and the guys actually running SR are busy shoving it down the nearest drain. I would imagine Dragan trusted the likes of Ankersen and Kraft plus maybe Semmens to run things and make the decisions. He may now be regretting having been persuaded to back these people.
  12. He is but isn't he also the major investor by a long way?
  13. Do they even get any credit for the investment side? My understanding would be that the money spent came from Dragan. It's very easy to spend other people's money, the skill is knowing what to do with it to progress the club. We're in a race to the bottom with no sign of it stopping yet.

Yeah, I get that. Normally managers bring their own coaches with them but Selles has found himself working under two bosses neither of who chose him. I guess this makes him a bit of an unknown quantity because he probably hasn't had much of a say in how he'd like the team to operate. We're about to find out if he has much about him although it would be unfair to judge him until he has a number of games under his belt. Assuming he'll do the press conference we'll see what he has to say and his team selection and formation will also be very interesting
  15. Have the club actually said that Selles was always their choice? I've not heard that. I guess if Marsch changed his mind yesterday they had no option but to declare Selles will be in charge this weekend but interesting that you reckon they've now said he was always their choice. Does this mean he's in place until the end of the season?
  16. For me the problem is not that they didn't get Ralph's replacement right it's how far they got it wrong.
  17. I have no problem with most of what they say and the ambitions they have for the club. Where I struggle to be convinced is that any of them including Semmens has much idea about how to run a Premier League football club. They look totally out of their depth to me. Maybe there's something about them I'm missing. Very happy for them to prove me wrong but I don't have any confidence in these guys because they continue to make mistake after mistake.
  18. Well some may describe Ankersen as a world class leadership expert but I think that's over-egging the guy. Anyone with an ounce of credibility would never have gone near Nathan Jones and it would not have taken much research to ascertain why. But Mr Clever Clogs with his spreadsheets and algorithms managed to overlook or miss all the alarm bells while, at the same time, failing miserably to do due diligence. He then told the fans forum that him and his chums see things behind the scenes that we don't, implicating that Jones would turn out ok given time - as we now know Jones got one more game in which he gave away 3 valuable points by turning a 1-0 lead into a 2-1 defeat against ten men. Ankersen bears a large chunk of the responsibility for the mess we find ourselves in yet guys like him seem teflon coated and never seem to face accountability. He's a good talker I'll give him that much but there's little or no substance to him in reality. He's always praised for his role at Brenford but, from what I gather, Phil Giles was and is the brains behind their success. Ankersen left them, they didn't replace him and have continued on an upward curve suggesting that he wasn't in the least crucial to what they were doing. Along with Semmens these are two men with a large part to play in running our club...or should that be ruining our club.
  19. It's the kind of thing that is likely to happen when clowns are running the circus.
  20. Couldn't that have been discussed at the very first conversation they had with Marsch to save wasting everyone's time? It's not as though it's not well known in football that managers get sacked with huge pay-offs. Having said that we are talking about Ankersen and Semmens who don't strike me as too switched on when it comes to footballing matters which is a major worry in itself.
  21. There's a photo of Rooney at Heathrow arrivals on The UIgly Inside claimed to have been taken yesterday.

I get the impression he thinks he could do it but then he clearly thinks too highly of himself in many aspects.
  23. I think being player manager would put too much on his plate and he'd become a lesser presence on the field. I get where you're coming from but regretably SR's incompetence has left us all clutching at straws.
  24. We could do worse and I never thought I'd say that. Can't and won't happen of course.
  25. None of the above.
