  1. He may be both of those things but neither qualifies him to make major decisions on football. He is a waste of space.
  2. Why doesn't Dragan choose a main advisor who knows something about football. Just a thought.
  3. Wasn't it widely reported recently that Spors is looking in Germany in his search for our next manager? Has that changed?
  4. Please ditch the ridiculous 3 centre backs obsession. I don't see it happening though.
  5. Amazed that some fans are suggesting this win may be a turning point. The turning point will come when we ditch 3 centre backs. Until then the same old crap will continue.
  6. In reality he'll probably be one of the fittest players at the club.
  7. Now you're talking!
  8. Well they've clearly stated that the young lad will take charge for the Sheff Wed game then there's an international break so they don't really need to be in panic mode. However, I'd expect an announcement early next week to give the new guy maximum time during the break to get to know the players and work on his ideas with those not on international duty.
  9. Anyone who never plays 3 centre backs is just fine with me.
  10. Unsurprisingly no one has gone for 3 centre backs so far. A small sample to be sure but quite telling.
  11. At last SR do something to unite the fanbase. Oriol's interview on the official site is a must watch. An inspiration to us all amid the dross we have had to put up with for so long. Build a team around this guy for as long as he can step on the pitch for us because he gets it and loves the city and the club.
  12. That's brilliant. Must be made skipper.
  13. Agree or bring him on to replace Fellows when oppo defence is tiring. I like Jander but he needs to get back to playing on the half turn as he did when he arrived - that seems to have been replaced by back to goal simple passing now.
  14. Didn't see any building from the back last night. What I did see was feeble attempts to do so when the movement was poor, the passing far too slow and the result each time a hoof upfield which may as well have come from Bazunu in the first place. That was a lesson in how not to play out from the back and why we shouldn't be doing it very often.
  15. Macca Jelert THB Wood Wellington Romeu Charles Jander Fellows Stewart Scienza
  16. It's tough for AA because unlike Scienza and Robinson he has little talent for taking on and getting past opponents. He played last night in a team consisting of 8 defensive players and only 3 offensive. Hardly surprising with that mix that we had zero build up play and AA received no supply. He can't and won't shine in a side set up as we were last night and our two goals came from moments of individual flair rather than any controlled build up.
  17. There's a group with a very low combined football IQ.
  18. Our attempts to play out from the back last night were embarrassing. Slow and clumsy rather than quick and accurate.
  19. He also rates Downs very highly as a footballer which is a worry.
  20. Some watch birds for a hobby Captain Jack watches balls. In both the trick is minimum movement.
  21. Most of the points you make are resolved by starting with a flat back 4. The 3 centre backs and 'wing backs' is the problem.
  22. I'll explain it for you Osvalderamo. We had a keeper who gifted them a goal almost gave them another and gave away a stupid corner by holding the ball for too long. Aside from two goals scored by good individual play rather than decent football we created next to nothing. When leading 2-1 we completely surrendered and allowed them to put in wave after wave of attacks with all 11 players back. All in all it was a shambles resulting in a lucky win. This sort of useless football will continue until we ditch the 3 centre back system. We had two wing backs who were really part of a flat back five and our two midfielders were more defensive than attack minded so 8 defensive players and only 3 offensive. Jander when he first came played on the half turn but now he's started to play with his back to the goal and knock simple short passes back the way they came. Yes, it's a shambles.
  23. Agree and it is embarrassing that professional footballers play in such a stupid way by doing the exact opposite of what they should have been doing. While we kept 11 men behind the ball and continually hoofed the ball to nobody in an effort to preserve our lead we should have had two players on either side of the pitch occupying the space between our penalty area and the half way line. This would have allowed us to clear balls towards them and have a chance of relieving the pressure plus QPR would have had to put players on them rather than knowing they could throw everyone forward without risk. As game management it was about as wrong as you can get but then we are a very poor team.
  24. We'll not kick-start the season or improve pretty quickly until someone realises it's way past time to ditch this horrendous 3 centre back system.
  25. Yes, forgot that gem.
