  1. sell him to everton he's probably told his missus all about london thinking he's going to spurs
  2. If only we could find a poor man's naby keita to play in our system, that would be the final piece for our midfield
  3. I wonder if there is a stat out there for blocked shots per player. I dont know if its me but Adams seems to have sooooooooo many shots blocked, I am not sure if thats him being too slow or unlucky. Calling @Matthew Le God to help.
  4. Scouting Report 1st July 2020 Ratings: A1 – Very good, could play higher A2 – Strong potential to play higher B1 – Good, strong player at level B2 – Potential to be a strong player at level C – Average for their level, rewatch D – Below average in this match Mohammed Salisu Player Profile: Nationality: Ghanian Age: 21 Date of birth: 17/04/1999 Current Club: Real Valladolid Career: Real Valladolid Position: Centre Back Preferred foot: Left Keeping a clean sheet, Salisu had a fairly good game. He hardly put a foot wrong against an attack which didn’t threaten much. At 6’3″ he has a big frame with broad shoulders, he used his physicality well with his instinct being to get tight to his man and pressure them by using his body. He was excellent in the air, cutting our crosses with strong clearances as well as in midfield. He has good aggression in these aerial challenges, but did foul once or twice going for headers in midfield. He was quick to read play and press out to challenge for headers but didn’t tend to press out of the line. He did drop the line very quickly, their line would retreat quickly when Levante began to attack and he would drop a little too deep at times. He scanned the pitch fairly well but when the ball was in more dangerous areas and crossing positions, he could have been more aware of the attackers around him. He has decent pace with solid defensive footwork and an excellent vertical jump. He isn’t the most explosive and his changing of direction and acceleration to react to play could have been better. His top speed is fairly good though and kept up with attackers well with good recovery runs. His lateral pace was good also due to his footwork but his turning on the ball was awkward and slow. On the ball he only went long once with a nice lifted ball down the wide channel. Otherwise he kept it simple but grew into the match. He largely shifted the ball to his centre back partner but as the game progressed he progressed the ball into midfield more. His pass was accurate mostly with good speed and power, with okay technique. He tries to get top spin but his technique could be refined and he can come across as quite stiff, improving his mobility and comfort on the ball would improve his technique and confidence to try more expansive passing, he could also open his hips more in possession. His first pass of the game though was misplaced sideways pass which gave the ball away and gave Levante a good opportunity straight away. Rating – A2 Salisu is still a fairly inexperienced player and centre back is a position to learn by playing more than most, but having a full season under his belt is massive. With his cheap release clause he’s being closely linked with Southampton which is a system I think could suit him but would need time to adapt and develop. He has some areas he needs to work on but has a high ceiling to be a top defender https://targetscouting.com/2020/07/16/real-valladolid-match-report-vs-levante-01-07-20/
  5. 4-0 to us Redmond with 2, Che and Ings 1 a piece.
  6. Understand but how much of his ball winning stats is brought about how we play and how we play him rather than individual skill set What were his stats like last year ?
  7. I'm convinced other clubs just read in the papers who is interested in who and those with more money just buy players to spite their rivals - in this case city over spurs No way he goes to Ajax - as mentioned about the couple of big games a year he drops off everyones radar if they dont do the business in champs league which I could see happening. Better to stay in the uk and maintain exposure and wages.
  8. Finally after the years of slow sideways passing build up play we ping it super fast in midfield and look to go forward as quickly as possible. Give me low possession and lots of shots any day of the week.
  9. Stream started - on our page just click on the right hand side
  10. Will start playing in 15mins https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/video/detail/B07VY1GVPV/ref=atv_dp_b07_det_tc_sqzC4s_1_2
  11. If his agent is Juan Mata's dad he for sure knows the upside to moving to the premier league, not just cash with us but then future transfer opportunities. Also he has seen the improvement and results and our PL safety is in place.
  12. Not a kit man but i think they all look decent Obviously if you could get rid of the Chinese characters that would of looked smarter but I think the white and red with gold looks mustard. Wonder which month this year they will turn up then ? before matchday 1 ?
  13. 1.5mil uighurs in re-education camps say hold my beer. https://www.hrw.org/world-report/2020/country-chapters/global

  16. https://chinasportsinsider.com/2017/08/21/gao-jisheng-southampton-what-fans-can-expect/ Finally, what of Gao Jisheng himself? His background is certainly another question mark. In summary, he was caught paying bribes in order to win state contracts, but, in return for immunity, he became a witness for the prosecution, with his testimony leading to the execution of two officials. This bribery issue initially led the Premier League – not exactly known for its strenuous checks of potential owners – to block Lander’s bid for the club, but it appears that was overturned on legal grounds because Gao’s deal meant he was not technically convicted of any offense. As a direct consequence of this outcome, the Premier League voted to approve tougher ownership rules in case something like this ever arose in the future.
  17. Just wanted to check this and redmond has played nearly 13.5 games more than boufal time wise this season. He has 3 goals 1 assist and Boufal 2 assists 0 goals so I'd say their output is both poor and I'd take an updgrade on both but we have more pressing issues elsewhere.
  18. Jim Radcliffe owner of Nice and some swiss team i believe and obviously in charge of Ineos. Reckon be might of thought about it before nice purchase but not now
  19. I've got to the stage of being pessimist before and during the transfer window and being wildly optimistic once we sign someone that he is going to be a world beater. I'm better off turning off the internet for a bit. I do like the awesome rumours though.
  20. when is the time we had 3 irish players starting for us
  21. Over the last 8 games he has averaged 13 mins as a sub and has 2 assists, I expect we will see more of him over the next few months, I think he just needs to get that goal monkey off his Interestingly that currently is more assists than Redmond, Ings, Hojberg, Armstrong and a whole heap more. Interestingly our lead assist player is Jack Stephens on 3, JWP only has 2 assists !!! Edit - Went off on a tangent on PL assists this season. De Bruyne with 16 is ridiculous but Buendia at Norwich with 7 in that team is pretty sweet and maybe worth a look if they go down
  22. Did a lot more than obafemi. Held the ball well and assisted another goal
  23. I would say he wins more headers because of our style of play not his heading ability. I would guess Stephens with his forward runs is always more advanced than Jan and when our forwards press and they hoof it long Jan is in prime position to head it as the CB further back and he has better sight of the ball.
  24. Taarabt has just been playing champions League football with Benfica so Boufal probably hopes that happens
  25. Heisenberg - check Just need Dalek and Alpine to make an appearance and the trifecta is in
