  1. I tried to get that going at the game but no-one joined in!
  2. Love that one! Could just see all opposition fans singing that to them as the saga unfolds! Nice one.
  3. I haven't got the real anti-Pompey hatred in me, unlike a lot of Saints fans - but I can't help feeling this would be karma for those skate morons who came on here revelling in our near demise.
  4. What do we need another 'lump' for? We've got Jaidi, if anything we need someone who is able to deal with the nippier forwards. 2 lumps will just be given the runaround. How can you call Exeter a poor side? I thought they played really well with 10 men, so much so you didn't notice they were a man down. They passed it around swiftly and accurately and could have nicked a draw. We need cover at right back, a CB and another forward.
  5. No it would indicate that they had us worried - 2nd half you wouldn't believe we were playing against 10 men. I thought Exeter passed it around very well - looked a good side.
  6. Now that he is consigned to the dustbin of history, and has nothing to do with the club or football, surely all those previous managers - sorry 'Head Coaches - who (we think) signed confidentiality agreements when they left, can come out and tell the truth? Perhaps they need a nudge? :smt064
  7. No it doesn't although I only the first and last lines! Yawn yawn.:smt100
  8. I've never even thought of local radio as a source of news about Saints - I rely on the internet for it - Echo, forums etc. checking way too many times a day! Solent is good for its match coverage but not much else.
  9. I don't quite understand how your memories of him can be destroyed if he plays for Pompey. Aren't you able to tell yourself that he was probably the best goalkeeper we have ever had and remember those fantastic saves he made for us and give him a break? He's entitled to earn a living anywhere he wants to - do you expect him to sit at home, twiddling his thumbs saying to himself - I'd like to get back in the Prem but I can't play for Pompey because I was a Saint? Get real. All this anti Pompey stuff is really over the top and to keep on singing that boring song about them at games is pointless - and it does nothing to encourage the team either.
  10. Quite. Some people are never happy are they? This man has saved our club. What would have happened if he hadn't stepped in? I for one am quite happy to entrust the club to him - FF, enjoy the new era - we've had enough negativity and depression around the club over the last few years. THINK POSITIVE!
  11. That's just a tall story doing the rounds.
  12. ...but we have to remember that if Lowe hadn't followed his disastrous policy, and had perhaps kept Nigel Pearson, we may well have survived in the Championship, with higher gates and more income and so possibly might not have gone into admin, and we'd still have him here now! IMO we had to sink as low as we have to get rid of Lowe and begin a new era with Liebherr and AP.
  13. Hopefully this is tongue in cheek - if not, well what can I say?
  14. I suggest you change your name to Moaning Minnie. Come on!
  15. Only trying to bring a little humour to proceedings - you need to lighten up a bit!
  16. Could be but when an audience is addressed in German they say "Meine Damen und Herren" - ladies and gentlemen to us...
  17. Don't want to stir up any homophobia here but literally translated Liebherr means "love man". On reflection it could have various other connotations - love my fellow man, enough to save a football club for them, or Like, love, man - the hippie turn of phrase about free love - of course if and when the takeover goes through, Herr Liebherr will be a very well loved man by all Saints fans - a football loving, mega rich philanthropist - ticks all the right boxes for me - think I could be turned - wonder if he's available! :smt008
  18. I got the same response too - but followed it up with an email back. The answers are interesting and makes me think that the league have further points deductions in mind once the waiver re appealing has been signed. Dear Ms Brown, Thank you for your reply - it is appreciated. Could I ask just one more question? Is there a possibility in Southampton's case of further points being deducted before the season begins or, after signing the contract in acceptance of the 10 point penalty, is that where the sanctions begin and end? Many thanks Her reply: Dear Mr Steele Thank you for your further communication. At this stage we can only reiterate that no conditions other than a waiver in regard to sporting sanctions have ever been raised with us as a major issue. Patricia Brown I wrote back: Dear Ms Brown, Thanks again for replying. You say that the league regulations are agreed by the member clubs and merely administered by the league - can you tell me under what agreed circumstances further points deductions could be made against a club in administration, after a waiver has been signed? Many thanks and she replied: Dear Mr Steele Many thanks for your further communication. There is however nothing further we add. Patricia Brown I've written back but don't expect an answer: Dear Ms Brown, I'm only asking you to set out under what circumstances further points might be deducted. Surely that is laid out somewhere in your regulations? Perhaps you could tell me where in the regulations I might find the answer? Regards Perhaps this is the issue Pinnacle had - the league won't commit themselves on whether any further sanctions would be imposed after signing the waiver. Not a very transparent way of conducting business with a member club if true.
  19. No I'm not connected to TL - and with the quote from the league today it would appear that things aren't quite as I thought. Looks like MLT has been taken in, as we all have if what the league says is true and I can't imagine they can be seen to be lying. So it's about turn for me - but with no abuse. If it's true that Pinnacle had other issues then they need to come out and tell us what they were. Fingers crossed for the Swiss now.
  20. Well said Mike! I can't believe that the so called fans on this forum immediately resort to name calling and abuse when they don't know the first thing about how negotiations went, what the FL were asking for and how much money the Pinnacle backers have. I know you're all as frustrated as I am but this abuse is just unwarranted. I for one prefer to believe MLT when he said today that it was the terms the FL set out that proved to be the deciding factor in Pinnacle's backers pulling out. So if you're going to blame anyone blame the FL!! I'm waiting to hear what those terms were - should be interesting when it all comes out.
  21. Don't quite understand that bit - could you expand? Have to say that you speak more sense than a lot of Saints fans!
  22. Why don't you just shut the F up and let the process take its course? Along with every poster on this forum you know nothing about what's going on or about the people involved or their finances - so why don't you just keep these moronic opinions to yourself? :smt093
  23. That's right - the FL doesn't say anything in their statement, other than they've given their decision to Pinnacle, so where have SSN and The Echo got this from? Have Pinnacle released this news to them?
  24. I know from my other sites that it is not always easy finding something worth saying Perhaps it would be wise not to post until there is something worthwhile to say? Off the wall I know but it could just work... ...would be nice to find something worthwhile to read on here once in a while anyway - that would be novel wouldn't it? Can't see it ever happening unfortunately.:smt024
