  1. http://www.ealinggazette.co.uk/sport/qpr-ealing/2011/09/01/qpr-two-minutes-too-late-to-sign-jason-puncheon-64767-29344994/ QPR missed out on a loan-deal for Jason Puncheon because transfer forms for his Loftus Road move arrived two minutes late last night (Wednesday). Protracted negotiations with Southampton, the winger’s club, meant Hoops could only fax the paperwork to the FA at 11.02pm – just outside the time limit before the transfer window slammed shut. Puncheon had already agreed terms with the Premiership new boys – but now must return to Saints and their Championship campaign.
  2. The echo said its a loan with an option to buy in January. I wouldnt mind that.
  3. If he punched Clarke, he could be sacked without a payoff, its gross miscondcut. The same thing happened with Magilton when the QPR players stuck together after he headbutted Buzsaky. Sousa was also sacked without a payoff as well.
  4. Leon Clarke had a fight with PDC in the tunnel, not surprising considering how bad Clarke is and how much of a nut PDC is.
  5. The other point is why would Birmingham weaken themselves and strengthen a rival at the same time? Birmingham would want to sell to a PL team and probably wouldnt even accept an offer from Saints unless it was at least a million over what the PL teams would pay.
  6. Its coming true, weve made a move for Bellamy!
  7. As if we havent got enough gits at the moment, maybe we could bring Savage out of retirement too! There was talk about it at the end of last season but I wanted no part of him, posing with a gun, beating people up, he will end up in non league football.
  8. Hes loved at QPR, thats all that matters to me. I like him, hes a straight talker and not a walking cliche machine. From wiki "The final was the first match that the club had played at Wembley Stadium. A header from Ronnie Mauge on 65 minutes gave Argyle a 1–0 win over Darlington and promotion to Division Two. In February 1997, Warnock was surprisingly sacked as Argyle manager despite his popularity with the supporters." Cortese played hardball and lost. QPR still got rid of their player for a good price, Saints are still stuck with their player eating up wages and now have to find another player to sign.
  9. 100% agree with that. Looks like Warmock has got a few people wound up on here which is funny, whats even funnier is that Saints fans would love him if he got them promoted to the PL. As for Puncheon, that was off as soon as tightwads B&E were gone. Dyer worked out fine, hes on a pay as you play deal, low risk, high reward. Hes not paid if hes injured.
  10. Straight swap, Gorkss went for 900k but Im sure Saints must have changed the goal posts at the last minute and wanted more money or kept on trying to delay it. Its a real shame for Saints, he would have done well. QPRs fans thoughts on the move. http://qprdot.org/viewtopic.php?t=55709&sid=25106860477f4157a2a98d41ae6410dc http://www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=111817 Virtually everyone is sorry to see him go.
  11. It was a swap deal and not a loan. Not taking Gorkss ruined any chance of getting rid of getting rid of Puncheon to QPR as were in for SWP now. Gorkss was not deemed not good enough by Blackpool, QPR paid a release fee of £250k at the start of the season that Blackpool went up. Hes only left now because we have loads of money to spend. Ian Evett was deemed good enough for the Prem and Gorkss is far better than him.
  12. Im glad about this, it pretty much rules out any chance of signing Puncheon which is not in Saints best interests as it seems QPR were the only team interested. Saints are getting a bad reputation around the football world with messing about or insultingly low offers, chairman, players and agents then wont deal with them.
  13. Looks like hes going somewhere, hes not even on the bench tonight despite a very week team. 12 new players have been bought into the squad and Gorkss isnt one of them.
  14. You can park right in Loftus Road, we always do. Dont park the other side of the ground near SA road as thats closed so you wont get out.
  15. Plays on the left side for sure, think he also plays the right side too. Someone also posted that he can play LB as he plays there for latvia, no idea if thats true.
  16. Hes good with the ball, great in the air, very professional but one thing he doesnt have is pace. Thats why hes suited to the NPC sides that usually play a big lump up front but would get destroyed by pace.
  17. I hope JP isnt part of the deal, were looking at Joe Cole and Bentley since the takeover so Id want a cash deal. I feel sorry for Gorkss, was at Blackpool and sold just before they got promoted, went to QPR and we get rid before he plays in the prem. It will be interesting to see if he plays tomorrow night.
  18. Thats what I said went I was at Millwall last year. We were 2-0 and had 10 men so we tried to leave 15 mins early, the police refused to let us onto the station and kept us right by where the millwall fans come out instead of keeping up 100 yards away. It was no surprise that it kicked off and it was 100% down to the filth. They do it to justify more OT and try to stop cuts to the police. It also why i think they stood by and watched the chavs loot for days before doing anything.
  19. I must have thought tango and cash were still in charge! FWIW, Puncheon was still mentioned as one of the 5 players we might get in one of todays papers.
  20. Good times if it happens! now that Tango and Cash will be gone, we have £10-£15 to spend on 3-5 players so it looks like no Puncheon (thank god) but on the other hand if we buy another CB, it could mean Gorkss realises he has no chance of playing and might go to Saints.
  21. Were in the process of a takeover, tango and cash arent going to throw away money when they club should be sold this week. Everyone hates the board, Blackpool spent 4 times as much as us. Saying that, I dont want Puncheon at all.
  22. I hope theres no chance of it, a takeover should be announced tomorrow and £10-15m should be made available for transfers. That should mean we are looking at better players than Puncheon.
  23. Daily fail says QPR turned down 750k and are holding out for £1m for Gorkss. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2025486/Southampton-bid-QPR-defender-Kaspars-Gorkss.html?ito=feeds-newsxml
  24. Youve got 2 massive egos negotiating in Cortese and Briatore. The deal would be off over 1k difference because one of their egos wouldnt give in.
  25. Bernie is desperate to sell so wont invest in the team, he wants £100m which obviously no on will pay. So were stuck until we get new owners. I also think Flav is desperate to get Ranieri or some other Italian in as well. Its messed up and that wont stop until Tango and Cash are gone. Everyone hates them prices have gone up and they are even unveiling the new kit in the match program to try and milk more money but fans are organising a boycott of it. Having said that, message boards are delighted were not paying £1m for Puncheon because no one wants him.
