Not a single nomination across every EFL 2024 season award categories for Saints. Manager, player, young player, supporter, community, innovation etc. did we win any manager of the month,goal of the month etc awards?

I’ll be amazed if we come away from this game with anything. sad state of affairs having to be nothing but pessimistic about playing away at Ipswich. I really don’t rate our gaffer. the occasional highlight but so damn flawed in his methodology.

We usually come back from a lengthy break very sluggish and even piss poor. If we don’t get a favourable result ….i won’t bother watching the later kick offs for Ipswich and Leeds. it’ll be a total anti climax. Really hope we can keep the run in for the autos interesting,even though it’s a tough ask.

We will be in the same league as Pompey next season. my skate chums are relishing the thought. I’m not. more grief about their trophy cabinet being fuller than ours incoming. we may have been in a higher league than them for the majority,but it really hasn’t given us much to cheer about.

We are an accident waiting to happen all the time with this stubbornness to play tippy tappy shite playing out from the back. we are under pressure from the get go. rewards can be great….but it’s so rare. we are on the back foot straightaway,playing into shit midfielders like Smallbone is a case in point.

When I was a nipper the FA cup was held in such regard, so special and prestigious. no one cares anymore. its so devalued as a competition. It’s more of a pain in the arse nowadays. id be pretty pissed if I’d travelled and that starting 11 was presented to me.

Second place is gone. no one else will beat Leicester. Leeds won’t lose again this season I suspect. we look miles off beating either…and even Ipswich. playoffs it is. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve learnt not to believe an utterance of what Martin says. And very rarely anything that comes from the Comms team at Southampton FC. Barring of course the normal run of the mill stuff. It’s just like politics,spin and more spin.

For so long we craved a manager that made the right substitutions at the right time. who acted and read the game. Tonight wasn’t the first time that his decisions alone changed the game. I raise my glass to him. he deserves credit where it’s due. stubborn bugger it seems,and tactical nous in abundance.

You just know Ex skate Jed Wallace will play a blinder for WBA. that looks the weakest side we’ve put out this Season. Hudderfield game was a wake up call….Bristol game was a kick in the arse…..tonight…a real kick in the bollocks methinks. I fear another September coming on.
