I say Steve Moran purely from a nostalgic point of view, I remember hi in my childhood years. But how any of you could wonder why James Beattie deserves a mebtion is beyond me. Under Strachan he was awesome, and was the top ENGLISH striker in the Prem at one point. James Beattie did us proud, I dont blame him for leaving when he did, his leaving was a product of our success (although followed quickly by failiure)

I just laughed out loud at the first ten or so posts on this thread, hanging the guy before he's even done his boots up. The same people that are praising Jan Poortvliet on his work so far.....well pardon me, but did any of you stop to think that maybe...just maybe, Jan might just have done his homework here.
