What Is The Most Amazing Place In The World That You Have Been Too
View From The Top replied to Gemmel's topic in The Lounge
I'm lucky enough to have traveled and awful lot but it's so very hard to narrow it down to a single place. I Europe Venice would take some beating, seen from the lagoon on the water taxi it's simply something else. I also, like others, love Sardinia with special mentions to Parma & Florence. In fact we love Italy so much I've already been once this year and we're going back in May. Helsinki is also pretty damn cool & I've always loved Bergen and Bruges is a bit of a gem as is Gent. In the Americas I'd have to say the coast north of San Francisco & Vancouver including the Sunshine Coast. That said, the most jaw dropping stunning place I've ever been to and every likely to go to, is Bora Bora. I thought Tahiti and Moreea were spectacular, and they are, but Bora Bora was on a whole different level. -
Put simply, we don't know. No one does.

My email is st16sfc@gmail.com To be clear, you will need to upgrade the U16 to adult. Difference in price is only a fiver. -
Racing now instead in the AM so can't get down to London for KO. Face value obviously. Sold as a pair. U16 can be upgraded to adult.

You should have got your tickets via Northern Saints as you would have been guaranteed a ticket via them if you've done that many games and your tickets still get recorded against your purchase history on the OS. Only £5 a season.

More of an issue with the wind which was gusting across the pitch, right to left from the away end. -

Home and thawed out. Others will ramble on about the game as a whole so all I'll add is that 1st half we were as gash as we've been all season and 2nd half totally untroubled and in total control IMHO. Hughes got it more or less spot on as far as I'm concerned with the starting XI and the subs. 3rd coldest game I've ever been to after Reading & Leeds I reckon. I'll be at work in Stoke tomorrow wearing a big grin and I just happen to have to go down to the Brit/365 in the PM too. -
I can confirm that it's as cold as feck up north today. Even the locals have put a jumper on.
-
Pretty excellent support considering how poor we are, it's a Sunday up north and it's on TV.
-
This is 2nd hand but announced tonight and taking training tomorrow apparently. Not from my usual sources I hasten to add but no real reason to doubt them.
-
If we'd sacked him when we should have done we'd have had excellent options. Now it's a case of who will take the gamble on us.
-
53 Northern Saints will be in attendance. A record number for the NS I believe.

Coldest you've ever been at a Saints game
View From The Top replied to JackanorySFC's topic in The Saints
Both were cold but the FAC game under Souness was cold, cold, cold! -
£10 each on the train for my son and I. It's a cup Q/F, wouldn't miss it for the world.

That games at Reading in the cup at Leeds in L1 are standout ones. Beer deemed the former bearable the latter was bitter, bitter cold and sober. -
Relegation....how do we prepare as fans?
View From The Top replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
Absolutely spot on. -
Totally. I too was there and WBA huffed and puffed a lot but there was never any anxiety in the stands, we all felt comfortable and the players look comfortable too.

Been home since about 18.15 and it was another enjoyable day out at the Hawthorns. I've always been highly critical of Pellegrino but today the set up, tactics and subs were spot on. I never really thought we were in any danger as unlike 2 weeks ago, we were comfortable with the crosses into the box. Cracking baggies goal though; proper good.

WBA v Saints - 5th Round FA Cup Thread
View From The Top replied to Edmonton Saint's topic in The Saints
I don't give a fu_ck what division we play in. I go, I shout and swear a lot and then I go home. Personally I find it very odd that people seem to think that it's important to do that only in the premier league. I do that no matter what division and will do until they nail down the lid. -
Swearing at SMS .... tolerable or offensive ?

My son learnt to swear properly at the football and is now fluent. #prouddad. -

That's very good advice, especially regarding the pubs! -

Kids are almost expected to do it TBF. My boy is now as tall as me but from the age of 5/6 he's been doing away games and stood on seats up and down the country for years. Corky Morris and I used to have our lads on seats either side of us holding on to our shoulders for balance. The Hawthorns is pretty steep and they should be able to see over the top of people without standing on seats. I know Corky's youngest didn't need to stand on his seat on Saturday.
