  1. Away from home last season we were excellent at times and I really enjoyed the football. I usually went to away games expecting to win. We had the usual bad days such as at Palace but no complaints from me about away games. I rarely go to home games now but understands peoples frustrations at those results but to cast him as clueless and boring is just plain wrong.
  2. Away somewhere I've never been, ideally up north.
  3. Every good team has a player like Boufal to do the magic stuff & players like Oriol to do the ugly stuff.
  4. My toes have just about thawed out after last night. I've been a huge critic of MP but last night he got it spot on bar 1 thing, swapping Long for Austin instead of Gabbi as the latter could have still chased and harried. Annoying at the end but it was always going to happen and that's why they'll win the league.
  5. I may well have a spare adult and spare U21 ticket. They will have to go as a pair though. Won't know for sure until after the weekend.
  6. Hahahahahahahahhahahahhahahahahaha. You are fu_cking clueless lad. Clueless.
  7. That is really, really sh_it news, he was a very sound chap. 46 is no age but cancer doesn't care about age, as I found out last year.
  8. If we lose the next 3, which is very possible, including hammerings at dippers and City, he'll be gone.
  9. At the moment I'd welcome Dave Merrington back!
  10. And here is the problem. The club gambled that they'd get my their man and he said no. The 2nd choice didn't get the boot and the 3rd choice went to Watford. We're left with an absolute muppet who is so out of his depth it's scary. The club has utterly fu_cked up. Utterly.
  11. We are so sh_it it's scary. Sack the idiot now.
  12. What he achieved at Inter was nothing short of a minor miracle too.
  13. Then you need to put the crack pipe away.
  14. Poch is a top manager who has his teams playing awesome football. Mourinho is one of the all time greats. It's perfectly easy to appreciate both.
  15. 1st point, no you're not and if you go to watch football for that then you're nuts. We go because of hope. We hope that we will win, we hope that it will be an awesome display, we hope we'll be champions etc. We are entitled to nothing, we hope for everything. As for your 2nd point, I came home from away games last season thinking we were excellent plenty of times.
  16. The parents wanted the move. All they could see were the ££ signs.
  17. We've currently a manager painfully out of his depth but with the players after binning a manager with a plan but without the players.
  18. I didn't see any home games live last season so won't comment on them and only went away from home post Xmas as I was too ill before that. Away from home I thought we played better football than we had done away from home under RK. It was classic, rapid, counter attacking football in the main with chances made aplenty. Our biggest issue was taking those chances. The game plan was always clear to see from the terraces and was usually executed well. Yeah there will always be the balls up along the way but I tended to travel expecting at least a point, usually all three. I too thought him a very decent bloke and a good coach. far too many of our very dense fans, and we have more than our fair share, didn't like him from the off as he wasn't RK and never really gave him a chance. I look at our manager now and I think to myself that we are certainly no better off under him than we were Puel. I don't see a plan, I don't see anything of substance at all.
  19. I'd pretty much agree with all of that.
  20. It was great to land in San Francisco to a message from my lad and a clip of the goal from Bein Sports. What and absolute beauty.
  21. No one, I hope, is doubting right man at the right time for L1 & Championship. The bigger issues were post that in terms of cash & personaility. Everyone has a shelf life at a club & NC reached his.
  22. Up until the last 4 home games of the season I thought Puel should remain manager at SMS. Our away displays were, on the whole, excellent but I could totally understand why those who only do the home games wanted him gone after those 4 games or so. However, many fans wanted him gone from the get go because of his less than exciting interviews, which illustrates how dumb a large section of our fanbase is. I still think he's a tactically astute manager who was dealt a sh_it hand with injuries and Leicester could do an awful lot worse than appointing him. He's certainly better than the numpty we've now got.
  23. Yep, sound thanks. All fixed and slimmer version of the one that started!
  24. I sat at home, in floods of tears, still too ill after chemo & radiotherapy to travel. I'd booked flights and hotel for my son and I but had to admit defeat. My son still went, traveled out and stayed with Corky Morris and two of his lads. I was so, so gutted to miss it, and Prague, but especially Milan. It was the only time in the whole cancer process that I felt sorry for myself simply because I didn't get to share it with my son and my mate, but especially my son.
