Been back about an hour after a rather enjoyable trip to Huddersfield. I'll just make a couple of points. 1) Nathan "Should have scored" Redmond should have scored, it was a sitter IMHO and whilst I'm usually a fan of his he was doing my nut today by coming inside instead of stretching the play. 2) Tadic, who is clearly a skillful player, is currently wa_nk. 3) Bertrand is a liability at the moment. He clearly doesn't want to be at SFC. Same could be said of Cedric. 4) Whilst we got a bit of a battering 1st half FF was never tested 2nd half and with a bit more bottle from the manager would have won. 5) MP fu_cked up by not bringing Boufal on as the last 20mins was screaming out for a player to run at a Huddersfield team who were clearly flagging and the game was there to be won. 6) Maya was majestic. 7) Going to a newly promoted club, on a high, was never going to be easy and I'd have taken a point at KO but we really ought have left with all 3. I've seen nothing from MP to suggest he's going to be any better than CP. 9) A Microbrewery before a game is a dangerous thing.

His body language was awful today. Everyone around us commented on it. His positional sense wasn't any better.

We all know he's a sh_it bloke but we cannot set the precedence by selling him.

If it was Liverpool (I'm 100% sure it's not) then Saints will immediately report them to the FA and the info the club have, so the gossip is up north, could see Liverpool getting a transfer ban. Saints won't sell. That message has been loud & clear and the clubs have accepted that. That said, I was told last week, standby for the insane end of window bids incoming. If they sell then VvD has won and all players will know, as will every other club, that put the pressure on then Saints will buckle. Saints cannot afford to back down now.

Wesley is a decent player and will hopefully make the transition to the PL as easily as VvD did.

He's just signed a massive new contract so only an utter idiot thinks we are going to sign a "better" keeper but it's nice to see the forum wa_nk stains have found a new boo boy for this season, that is until Boufal fu_cks up as it would appear people are itching to boo him too. FWIW he's an average keeper IMHO but they way some people prattle on you'd think he was the worse keeper in the history of football.

He fully expected to be a City player this season so he's naturally pis_sed off that he's not. Sooner the window closes the better.

He may well still go for the £75m price tag that will make Saints "consider their position", but it won't be to the dippers, not for £100m, that's stone cold certain.

Since the news about VvD and the dippers broke the information I've been given has been the same. VvD is not for sale to the dippers for any price. If anyone else wants him then the club will consider it if the offer is circa £75m. That message has been loud and clear to those who have inquired about VVDs availability and as of yesterday, that message was the same. I cannot envisage the club now caving in and selling him for less than that, especially as end of transfer window panic sets in, but if they do and get £75m for him from Chelsea or City then it's good business as far as I'm concerned. We cannot sell to the dippers under any circumstances. I may find out more on Thursday if anything has changed.

Blimey, that's more or less what I've been told, and saying on here, for weeks now.

From what I understand, and remember it's just NW football gossip and 3rd hand at best, one of the reasons Saints won't sell to Liverpool due to the dippers saying how Saints would just except what they offered as we always do, then went on and agreed a deal with the player, expecting the club to be grateful to the dippers for the privilege of selling VvD to them. That seriously fu_cked off Les Reed and co. All I was told over the weekend was nothing has changed. Club still states he's not for sale, not a single offer has been made but to "stand by for the panic bids".

And being closely monitored by City.

I think most of us said all of last season that OR needed a partner and it appears that he's about to get one. It looks like a classic Saints signing. Young, talented, lost his way a bit and with a point to prove.
