Are the dippers planning a candle lit vigil on the grounds that, as always, they've done nothing wrong and are, yet again, the victims?
-
He's clearly a very good coach with an excellent reputation but it's just not gelled for him or the club here at Saints. It happens.
-
If City or Chelsea want him then the fee will be huge. The kno_b jockey suggesting we will sell him to the dippers for £40m needs to lay off the crack pipe. Whilst I don't want him to go, and wouldn't be shocked to see him stay for another season, I'd not be adverse to £60m plus Iheanacho from City or a similar deal involving Ake or similar from Chelsea.

As I've stated earlier I genuinely don't think it's that fanciful. There appears to be a dearth of top level jobs going this summer, only Roma currently springs to mind with their chap off to Inter. That means IF and I appreciate it is a big IF Tuchel fancied a move to the EPL then somewhere like Saints would be a natural step. He has a couple of successful seasons with Saints and he'll be in line for Arsenal amongst others. The same, of course, could be said if he stays in Germany with a team such as Bayer but maybe he fancies a new challenge. Who knows. I'm sure he'll have plenty of suitors but him coming to Saints isn't as fanciful as some make out, not in the current market.

I was up at Boro and he was sh_ite. Yes I know he scored but his overall play was shocking. Puel made plenty of poor decisions last season but not playing JR wasn't one of them.
-
Stranger things have happen. Saints, despite the doom and gloom on the mongboard, are a great option for managers looking to make their mark in the EPL. Constantly top 10, great reputation in the game, well resourced and a clear philosophy. And to that the fact that there is no top strata clubs looking for managers. Have 2 great years at Saints nd then take your pick.
-
This is partly true. They hope to fill in all the corners but are starting with the corner that the wind tends to whip through first. Stoke understand that bar the really big matches they are probably at max capacity for home fans which is why they are increasing the away allocation next season.

Saints Transfers Thread - Deadline Day
View From The Top replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Tadic is a quality player who clearly didn't/doesn't rate Puel and it shows in his play. -
So, in other words, it's just your opinion, nothing more. I'm more than happy to criticise the club, they've made a number terrible decisions in the last 12 months but I don't frame my posts as if I know something for certain when it's simply an opinion as you are wont to do.

And based on what evidence do you reach such a ridiculous conclusion?

If we appoint the man that Ericb refers to, and yes, I know who it is, no one will be disappointed. The man in question is currently still in position but big question marks as to whether he will remain so. We were linked last summer, contact was made, but a "can't turn down" offer was forthcoming. We stand a much better chance this time.

1st 300km ride. 11 hours, almost to the second, moving time. Boom.

Nicola Cortese wants to return to English footie
View From The Top replied to Delmary's topic in The Saints
The thing is he has told people, lots of people, but just not on here and that was done to protect employees of Saints. The same way Ericb knows plenty but is careful what he posts but I know where it's coming from and know it to be genuine. -
To me that's the crux of the matter. Bar the cup SF I've only done away games this season and, in general, they've been pretty decent performances and good results whilst the home performances have been dire. If the home fans had seen the performances and had the results the away fans have enjoyed I think they'd be more forgiving. However, having said that, it begs the question why the same set of players can play incisive football away from home yet be so poor at home but, in general, Puel has got his set up right away from SMS IMHO.

SWEEPSTAKE ALERT - Puel departure announcement timing - all welcome

14.00 this coming Tuesday. -
There is no coming back from where Puel is now. Thanks for the semi finals and giving Wembley a proper go but bar some away games, it's been sh_it.

Nothing this season has even come close to the last minute winner at Anfield. Nothing. Those of us lucky enough to be there, the proper fans, not the whinging, moaning kn_obs, but those who go to games, will remember the absolute outpouring of unbridled ecstasy and the best "lose the plot" goal celebration ever. Being stood on my seat, next to my lad, singing "Que sera sera" with tears rolling down my cheeks was beyond wonderful. I wouldn't have missed it for the world, recovering from cancer or not.

Action shots from my mates Go-Pro thingy on the "B" chaingang. As for knee pain, it's not your cleat position is it? That is very often the cause.

Working in The Potteries (thankfully I don't live there), the Stokies are all predicting a Saints win. In anything they are more fu_cked off with their team and manager than we are.

Saints 0 Man Utd 0 - Buildup, Match and over-reactions Thread

Home performances will see the end of Puel. Simply not good enough. Thankfully I've only seen us away from home bar 2 games and I've rather enjoyed them as we tend to win! -
He's right though, you whinge, whinge, whinge like an old woman. Dinosaurs, like the hoof it forward football you like as you confuse it with attacking football, is dead. Thank fu_ck.

Just heading out on a 150miler. Warm up for Chase The Sun. Flying down from Ronda in Mallorca.

I've gone to most away games since Xmas and by and large we've been Good. Clever possession, incisive passing when required and well set up. Our lack of taking our chances is what's really cost us in games, Everton and Burnley readily spring to mind. Palace we just got stuffed. Thankfully, away from home, the support is decent, unlike the duffers at SMS moaning and complaining, and we've been rewarded with good displays and wins. No coincidence.
