  1. So after the 28 days is up, what happens to the offer that is on the table (assuming it has been withdrawn)?
  2. Nor did I until I had kids. Now I REALLY get it.
  3. We had similar scenario & once through the other side it's been fine. That said, we always budgeted on just one of us working & only £25k coming in & our mortgage was based on that.
  4. believe me, they were seeing red last night & two committee members that are easy to bait confirmed it was completed & ready for submission.
  5. We had the F/T mum plan. It didn't last.
  6. Hard to put an exact figure on it as it depends on mortgage costs etc & where you live. I'm lucky that I've got a big house but it was bought before the boom so my mortgage is only £400 per month so we can afford to overpay it thus paying it off early. Friends of mine seem to have mortgages that are eye wateringly huge & thus there outgoings are massive compared to mine.
  7. The term that was always considered deeply offensive was "coconut". It was meant solely as a derogatory term & a black/black insult.
  8. Add to that that plenty are sick of waiting & have got other jobs.
  9. That was the job of the JCP+, we simply facilitated the SIA training & the job application process, & they have been in contact but despite assurances no one has yet been contacted & been told where to go or what to do.
  10. Correct, there is a 28 day cooling off period, after which the CVA is tied up in a red bow. That 28 days was also the time frame that PST had to get their bid in, which is ready to be submitted. All has to be done by next week one way or another.
  11. This is my G4S Olympic tale. Jan/Feb time we are contacted by the local JCP+ who we work closely with (as recognised in last weeks OFSTED report into FE under "best practice") & asked if we could run a number of SIA courses as G4S wanted 100+ lads & lasses from Tipton/Oldbury/Smethwick to work at the training bases/venues in & around Brum + Cov' for the football. JCP+ we allocated the funding to pay for the badges & course fees & those people we subsequently badged up. JCP+ pass on all the information of the people including badge numbers to G4S who say they will be in contact & all those 100+ people are guaranteed work. As of yesterday G4S hasn't been in contact with a single person out of that 100+.
  12. As we had the some PST committee members biting hard on twitter last night, when chided about their bid said it was ready to go in.
  13. Just like Leicester they've been "loaned" the money. Foxes are paying 9% interest to their owners for their loans.
  14. Clyne certainly has potential & I did think him beyond our reach. Gunter is the best fullback I saw last season & a good signing by Reading.
  15. As I know you'd never right ITK boll.ocks on here I trust what you say on this so what's your take?
  16. Happy days, extra ££ saved.
  17. Took the daughters to see Ice Age 4 today. 7yo watched it & enjoyed, 5yo fell asleep & dad thought it crap.
  18. Just getting two committee members of the PST biting. So easy.
  19. The fishing on twitter is good today. They are some big fish biting.
  20. I reckon that day tens of thousands of Saints fans around the nation scared the sh.it out of their neighbours as they went mental whilst doing BBQs! That was certainly true in our small part of Staffordshire!
  21. As a kid '76. As an adult Brett's header against Watford at Villa Park. As a dad watching my 10yo nipper going utterly & totally nuts when SRL scored at Fratton & again at Millwall (which was the best away game last season).
  22. It really doesn't matter though as the timescale of taker over, L1 fair play rules, 5 year restrictions means they are fu.cked.
  23. Depends as to whether the deal was done yesterday or not.
  24. PST haven't submitted an offer yet. The full process would have to be followed if they did but an offer in.
