  1. Just what we said as well. Showed nouse as well.
  2. Send Corky Morris a PM as he's driving down from Shropshire, Hinstock way and if he takes the 7 seater there wull be a spare seat. We park up at Hillingdon and tube in from there.
  3. Beevor's Berlin is also a must read. Those Red Army folk spared no one once let loose.
  4. Only 3 men survived the sinking of HMS Hood. My great uncle wasn't one of them.
  5. There was a US Army team tasked with finding Nazi/German scientists at the end of WW2. They had to find them before the Soviets did.
  6. Corky and I will be bringing our kids, 7, 7 & 9 but I understand why some wouldn't bring theirs.
  7. Whilst his minister of propaganda had none at all, apparently.
  8. Pardew needs to decide his best 11 and best formation and stick to it. Far to much tinkering going on at the moment.
  9. My grandfather who worked at Super Marine told me a similar story. The sirens went off for a daytime raid and instead of heading straight to the shelter he got on his bike to ride back up Peartree Ave to Blackthorn Rd where his wife and two daughters were. As we got up by where the Winning Post pub is he was straffed. Thankfully they missed but we remembers vividly the yellow nose and pale blue belly of the plane as it banked up and away. My dads house in Sholing was hit during the blitz and when they dug my dad and uncle out they found them under a tin bath under the stairs.
  10. I thought they were in court today having the appeal heard? I'm wrong aren't I.
  11. My 7yo goes home and away with me and loves it. Makes supporting Saints all the more fun for me seeing him so happy doing it.
  12. I do a 360 mile round trip for home games and have 2 season tickets despite knowing that I'll miss all Tuesday evening games (except this week). This will remain the case next season.
  13. Oh come on, it's a Sunday which means we're all cheesed off as it's work tomorrow so give us something to make us smile. :smt052
  14. Then I would suggest you sit in the pub, nursing your memories of the good old days as this modern football lark seems to leave you totally confused.
  15. So you didn't see the game yesterday yet can comment on it and how the pitch impacted on it? So you didn't see who the wide men were attempting to get the ball down and run with it only for it to be bouncing and bobbling everywhere meaning that they couldn't go at full throttle and that fullbacks/covering midfielders could get tackles and blocks in? So you didn't see that, after 5 mins, it was clear wing play wouldn't work? Still, doesn't stop you commentating on yesterdays match. Yes Stockport was poor and yes, yesterday was poor, but your views are tedious and simplistic and tinged with your obvious contempt of the current manager.
  16. I'm 43 not 63! If it hasn't passed you by were are in division 3 with division 3 players which means, in general that they're not very good. That people expect them to be playing like the two players you mention says an awful lot about the expectations of too many fans and why they really, really don't get it. They'd be better off sat in the pub talking about the good ole days.
  17. Yep. An awful lot of posters on this site a total c*cks.
  18. I'm passed caring. Your tedious agenda means that anything your write is tarnished. Only an idiot, or someone so blinkered that they miss what they actually are seeing, would have failed to notice that yesterday we were set up with wide players and after 5min it was clear that the pitch wasn't going to let that happen. At that point we should have switched to a straight 442.
  19. Forgive me for thinking you're full of sh*t, but you are.
  20. So we did play wide players on the narrowest pitch I've seen where the flanks were cut to pieces after 5 mins and where the wingers couldn't run with the ball. Still, when have the facts stopped you.
  21. Forgive me, but I thought we had two wide players yesterday or at least that's what I saw.
  22. FFS. Can't believe we haven't got Wenger in yet. FFS. C*cks are the only people who want a change of manager now, have they learnt nowt from the last 6 years or so?
  23. Pre-court bollooooxs in the hope that it stave's off winding up.
  24. No, English but nearly every unit, from Poland to India by way of Oz and NZ fought in the hell that was Cassino. They both served and fought alongside the Poles as they battled through the mountains up to the Adriatic.
  25. I thought Papa was playing the central attacking midfield role, with James and Morgan the holding players, AL wide left and the new boy, whose name I can't spell, on the other flank. Papa should have been wide with AL off RL. James and Morgan were swamped and simply couldn't cope. Lloyd James isn't, nor ever will be, a central midfielder.
