With the winter being so mild (so far) I've been able to stay out of the road, although a puking bug has made it tricky this week, so being able to average around 200km a week has been a bonus. It also means the Mrs has had her bike on the TT since November. My next investment will be rollers. Nearly all the racing is on a closed 2.5mile course. I'll be near the back but it'll be fun. I'm not sure I'm aware of any religion that lynches gay men and women from cranes in public as in Iran and throws them from tall buildings as ISIs has been doing. I mean, how *****ed up is any religion when someone is murdered because of their sexuality?

It's a very powerful book. I was reasonably clued up about events in the West & Italy and obviously some of the stuff in the East from other books I've read but I knew nothing really about the ethnic cleansing post war or the fate of the ethnic Germans in places like Czechoslovakia or how the children of Norwegian mothers & German fathers were treated. I'd recommend it to anyone.

The bit about the copper who was shot in the head is confusing. An AK47 round would have taken his head apart and brains, blood & gore would have been all over the place. That simply doesn't happen in the video.
