  1. Agree with this and is pretty much my position. I do wonder how it may have turned out if he had demanded a decent centre forward, a right back and a keeper so he could have played a 4 at the back system. I suspect if we hadnt had bree peretz and Larin join in January we woudnt be anywhere near 6th. Small margins change outcomes and with it confidence improves.
  2. My AI has Predicted the following Final Standings (If Southampton win all 8 gas) Predicted Rank Team Projected Points Rationale 1 Coventry City 90-95 Currently on 77 points with 8 games left. Even with a dip, they remain heavy favourites for the title. 2 Southampton 84 A perfect run would likely see them leapfrog Middlesbrough and Ipswich, especially since they face Ipswich directly on 28 April. 3 Ipswich Town 82-84 Currently on 68 points with 9 games left. If they lose to Southampton but win elsewhere, they would finish very close to 84. 4 Middlesbrough 80-83 Currently on 70 points with 8 games left. Inconsistent home form makes it unlikely they would match a perfect Southampton run.
  3. Id play the under 15s side against arsenal and give the entire squad a rest. We ain’t winning the fa cup so what’s the point of risking our chances of the play offs. Would really piss off the PL as well particularly if it was on tv.
  4. What like ever? big call 😂
  5. although interestingly he has played far better as a wing back in a 5 than a winger in a back 4. Confidence is key i guess
  6. I guess we will have a better idea after the Fulham game on Sunday as to whether they can shine against better players.
  7. Average 2 points a game I’ll be enough. Win Tuesday and we are still on target
  8. Why o why did Tonder pick archer when he was happy to let him go a week ago. Fucking terrible decision. Just get rid of the useless krout.
  9. I think people are not seeing how poor the league is this year. As poor as we have been we are still only 5 points off the play offs. If by some fluke we get there we will be good enough to win it.
  10. Agree with this post. Too play 4 at the back with 2 wingers we absolutely need a Physical striker with some height / aerial ability. Larin and his record looks unremarkable but how many unremarkable target men are there in the championship that have done a job for teams to reach the playoffs. He may not get the goals but his physical presence suits us more than archer and armstrong's game. Clearly we will want Stewart to stay fit but we will need to be really careful with his minutes. Ill probably be proved wrong but im fairly confident that we create enough chances for a him to grab a few but its his physical presence that will be the real benefit.
  11. Agree as Ross Stewart won’t be able to run by about Thursday
  12. Downes probably
  13. i take it you are a woman?
  14. thats what your husband says
  15. They also didnt say whether the replacement would be signed before or after he was sold.
  16. To play in a better side maybe?
  17. he has also been quoted as saying eh was happy with his goalkeepers yet we signed one. Maybe reassign the tummy wipes as fanny wipes;)
  18. Whilst I think most agree a back 4 is the right formation, who are you playing at RB?
  19. i cant see anyone offering £60m for a EFL player in the summer who will turn 28 next September. i think we would be lucky to get £25m. For those reasons I think we have a good chance of keeping him regardless of promotion.
  20. Keeper for me. Take Stokes Number 1 or Trafford on loan.
  21. Hearing Fellows had a scan on a groin issue. Let’s hope it’s not long term.
  22. I’m unsure if Will Still has done more damage to Will Stills career or has Tonda?
  23. Thought he looked better and that there is possibly player there if we don’t crush his confidence completely. He has been poor and seriously lacking in confidence but saints fans are jeering him constantly even when we are 5-1 up away from home. The lad is 21 and some of our fans need to get a grip and give the lad some support. great game though and first half we were fucking electric. Bragg was the star for me based on the position he played on his first real game. A lot of pressure and he handled it superbly.
  24. Was this not a good barometer? Were they not a solid back 4? They had conceded only 12 goals and have 6 clean sheets this season. seems like a solid challenge today. think we have the chance to give it to go. Until the end of the season and see how it goes over a longer period. S if someone came in for him and we had to make a decision right now on balance I’d say go for it.
