  1. lets be honest saints will be planning for every eventuality if they are smart. so clearly we will be looking at players for the prem but also we need to be prepared should the worst happen and we get relegated. it would be a disaster if we got relegated come may but even worse if we lost our key players and stood there with no ******* clue who could replace them. for me this is one of the key reaons why some clubs get relegated and then carry on struggling the following season.
  2. oh the irony of your comments. if you had been in charge he wouldnt have had the chance to win one promotion let alone complete half a season in the prem. please dont pretend you havent pretty much called for his head within 15 minutes of the start every game for thevpast 2 years
  3. but you dont watch saints, you watch leage 1 pompshyte at krap nottarf
  4. Lets just have an honest debate of why in our first season back in the prem with a squad largely put together in league 1 that - 1)We are 4 point s clear of the relagation zone 2) We have a superior goal difference over our direct competition 3) we have 9 games left with 5 off them at home 4) The teams below us are in that postion after 29 games for a reason and to suggest that they are likely to put a run that is at least 5 points (1 win & 2 draws) better than ours with only 9 games left is unlikely. 5) Whilst we have issues with our team we areplaying pretty well considering we are in relegation fight.
  5. yes you are right it was. Did his goals not ensure our promotion which was worth £90 odd million over 4 years? so yes blinding bit of business.
  6. slight over reaction to be fair.
  7. where does it say that exactly? it says we made a nett profit. by definition nett profit is total revenue - ALL costs. whilst it is stated that revenue is up to 33m excluding player trading, it certainly doesnt state that net profit was calculated without including the cost of transfers. otherwise it wouldnt be Net profit but described as profit before player trading maybe? in addittion as a the saints are a owned by a ltd company then they are bound by uk company law and would have to submit audited accounts. so if we made a Net profit of £1million then we did so after player trading. well thats my understanding anyway. Solent could be posting duff infor i guess
  8. im not sure any true saint would vote for selling Sir Rickie at this time for £6million on the pretense of strengthening more important areas. Are you telling me that the £6million would be enough to replace Sir Rickie and strengthen these other more mportant areas? Stroll on mate or shoud I say Troll on!!
  9. although when fox was in adkins team we conceded for fun. now fox is back in the team it seems we are once again we are conceding for fun. seems to me that there is a common theme here. drop fox and things will improve no doubt and then the bed wetters can co concentrate on chaging thier urine soaked pyjamas
  10. pace in behind thier back four? where was this space exactly? im not sue if you noticed but qpr played 10 men behind the ball dropping really deep and where very organised defensively. its tough to break down teams that play with such a defensive set up. Saints really benefit from playing the ball quickly with the likes of lallana, lambert puncheon and ramirez able to ping the ball around to make the defence turn. when you park the bus in front of the goal its a tough ask to break them down. to be fair once saints equalised it forced qpr to be slightly more adventurous leading to a better period of play for saints up to the second **** up when things returned to backs to the wall defending in numbers. personally i dont think we will see a performance like that again this season from any team we play so will lead to a more open game and suit saints strengths. for the record i have heard the government will cease testing for horse dna in our meat and as of the close season are likely be looking for fox dna after that defensive performance.
  11. does every team have complete tools in thier fan base? we seem to have more than our fair share!
  12. what utter bullshiit like most of your posts.
  13. of course adkins team never palyed that badly atbhome against fellow relegation struggler, oh sunderland doh! get over it we played badly for the first time in a while and paid the price. imo we will be fine but a few bumps on the way to come.
  14. **** it, keep the cash and spend it onplayers. he will earn loads else where
  15. morgan would not have signed.
  16. at the moment punch has no real competition in the squad. he is playing well and his attitude seems good. i suspect the management are concerned that should we sign a player in the summer who puts some pressure on him amd possibly gets in ahead of him that he will again throw his toys out of the pram. for that reason i would certainly consider very carefully whether to keep or release
  17. the chairman made a call that he wanted to change the management team and the man he wanted was available. As such what would be considered the right way to make that change without upsetting people? i agree it was wrong not to acknowlege NA's work in the programme /publicly but how do you get rid ?
  18. im not sure but im fairly certain they dont work on sunday
  19. oh please, exageration of the week award? whilst we clearly arent safe i think many a sensible fan have seen enough about our team to suggest we have a better than decent chance of staying up. what is it with a few whining fannies on here screaming the house down about our so called dire situation. interesting they are without fail always on here during the game and straight after. go to the game once in a while and maybe u will enjoy following the saints.
  20. i agree db, people should try and remember how poor we were inthe prem when we got relegated. personally like to see saints playnsome football. things are on the up IMO
  21. assuming no one on the forum here actually owns a crystal ball, i guess we wil have to wait until the 4th feb to find out
  22. i think this is an honest answer and backs up a little snippet that morgan and one or 2 others werent happy under nigel. one or two senior players were definately spoken to about plans to change the manager 2/3 weeks ago from what i gather. morgan was keen to move but was convinced that a planned change to managment was iminent. heard a few bits from different sources that tend to support this rumour. fully expect to get abused from all and sundry on here but thought it was worth mentioning to see if anyone else had heard similar rumblings.
  23. he can speak english. a friend who works for the club spoke to him for around 10 mins on friday afternoon when he was introduced to the staff. fact
