well clearly in the usual circumstances theynwouldnt leave it this late. however upto aroun 15 games ago he didnt really even feature in the future plans let alone the team. the question now is if we extend his comtract is he likely to fall into his old ways when /if we get competition in on the right flank and he finds himself out of the first team. i would imagine that is the million dollar question that the saints have to answer. he was never going to be offered a new contract and we are clearly running down to the end of the season, althou current form is clearly going to give us a moment of pause before we decide either way. maybe they will leave it u till the end of the season to see how committed he really is when other offers are on the table?

yes the club loves to announce comtract extensions. what they dont do is announce that they are in discussion with a player over a new contract. so whats the difference here, other than nothing has been finalised either way? if and when its agreed it will be announced, no? otherwise there will be silence from the club. so suggesting the silence is deafening is acutaly a bed wetting comment trying to focus on a negative imo.

k and that my friend is the point being missed by the adkins out at all costs brigade. a couple of canny signings in defence early january and we will have a really decent side. the second half of the season is our chance to stay in the prem with adkins. i think we will be discussing adkins loyalty about whether he should take that bigger job. oh the irony.

with the players we have available, what formation would you play that ultimately changes our side into a winning team? im not sure we anyone would be able to do much with the back four and as such is pretty pointless to make a change. a couple of decent defenders sigend in january and the side would look far more balanced and far better than bottom 3 material imo. the question is whether NC has an itchy trigger finger. personally id keep adkims for the entire season regardless of results as i feel the team is in transition as it evolves into a prem side. i just hope we stay in touch untill jan.
