Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 0-0 West Ham
wild-saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
So you are after a Rickie Lambert with Pace or a Jay Rod with Rickies touch / vision / guile. Not much then Ha Ha. How much would one of those cost in the transfer market i wonder. -
by the fact that we are not scoring goals against teams that according to a few we should be trouncing in our easy start, is it fair to assume we are completely overating lovren as a class act based on the fact we have been playing really poor sides? surely we cant judge until we have played the top 4 home and away?

i is thatnall, i won £920

I think its fair to say SRL took his game to a new dimension when he joined saints through the focus on professional Fitness, Diet and conditioning programmes. The improvement in these areas has allowed the undoubted talent shine through at a higher level. It could be argued that Sharp could do with focusing in these areas to help him make that step up in grade. The lower leagues have always produced talent that never really got the chance to shine, one that comes to mind was Lee trundle who had plenty of skill /technique but the whole physical side of the game again let him down.

With comparisons being made with Teddy Sheringham, it is worth noting he played his last international at the age of 36. If SRL does turn out to favourably compare to sheringham and play well into his twilight years then would the next 4 years be considered the future of English inernational football? Not saying he will play that long but if he keep fit then does his style of football if considered a decent option for England not mean who could be around for the forseeable future? The amount of talented english forwards seems pretty limited althrough the rank U21 & U20 to be fair.

Can we accommodate SRL & Osvaldo in the same team?

im really impressed how people can judge after just over 90 minutes of football either way. -
to be fair i dont recall any occasion where you have posted anything in support of the team, so i dont really understand why you would get offended when someone comments on how other fans should support the team as they clearly arent talking about you. I think its fair to say that most users on this forum consider you a troll that is only interested in baiting other users and not really considering any other position other than how poor saints play, manage, perform in the transfer market , treat thier players / staff / customers or fans, etc etc etc. I dont suppose you have had that hand related lawn mower accident yet?

A serious transfer window review thread...
wild-saint replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
lets be honest if we let him go to a prem club you would ***** that he will know come back to haunt us. whatever happens in the world of saintsfc you will moan, whine and find a negative angle to put forward. Frankly you a few of your trolling cronies make my eyes bleed with your continual shyte. if i had 3 wishes my last wish would be for you to have a freak lawn mower accident that rendered you unable to use a keyboard. am i allowed to make those sort of comments without getting a slap wrist from a mod? oh shyte never mind too late ...... -

A friend that works for saints and would have some involvement (low level) in deals In / out has been asked to be available this afternoon / this evening in case they are required. No clues as to in or out though. -

Worst case scenario planning: If SRL suffers a serious injury.
wild-saint replied to Giordano's topic in The Saints
i really donth think it matters. reading this forum it seems a fair few think he is immobile, a plodder, past it, average, too old etc etc. personally i think the man is mustard and will yet again show the watching football world that writing off sir rickie is just plain stupid. i kind of hope we dont sign an expensive striker with a view to easing him out of the team as i love watching him play football -
expert? An ex is a has been and we all know what a spurt is!

i agree MLG, england are too obsessed with planning for the future when idealll there should be more focused on the present

Ramirez, his first season, how good has he been?
wild-saint replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
i dont like it when he is played out wide as his effectiveness is considerably reduced. in the 10 position with a relatively free role i think he has the potential to add some creative flair that teams struggle to cope with. Fulham away last season on boxing day was case in point, fairly ineffective first half out wide but a switch to a more central position changed the teams balance and we looked a far better side second half. my opinion is in a 10 position he has the talent to shine but is wasted in a wider role.
