  1. indeed first choice starter imo. rather sell clyne if i had the choice
  2. well thats not even worth a response, in fact actually im sorry but both comments are utter ********
  3. ok, so if thats the side that plays at anfield on the opening weekend then we will get utterly butt ****ed imo. for that reason we will clearly sign at least 4 players before the start of the season. i cant believe anyboard however inexperienced would think that squad is good enough to compete. i am utterly comfident we will see a differnt side come then liverpool again.
  4. erm austin delgado doh
  5. he will absolutely sign the new contract for more money, why would he not? he could double his money right now and stll leave at the end of the season if a big offer comes in. when has a contract ever stopped a player from a small club move to a bigger club when abig bid comes in? certainlly not at saints. the club offering a larger contract are doing so to protect against selling for a reduced fee. jay rod with a 5 year contract is worth 20+ but with 12 months we get maybe 10-12
  6. i know for a fact that sours have already tapped up jay rod over a move to spurs. mopo wants him as soon as he is fit so expect bids in january. jay is keen on the move. this comes from arrys side kick.
  7. saw the libertines at hyde park yesterdat. absolutely smashed it! also watched reverend and the makers who nailed it. thr stage got closed afterwards as the mosh pit jumped do hard they broke the floor. great day
  8. i tend to agree with this. it seems as soon as someone that leaves saints they suddenly become average at best. im sure ir ead somewhere om here today tHat poch was a cancer in the club and had to be removed. quite ridiculous
  9. to be honest despite his lack of class and integrity i also agree that the club should rise above and recognise his contribution to saints rise back to the prem. personally i have very much enjoyed watching him play for saints and am disappointed he has gone. all the good far outweighs his lack of jusgement in handling his exit from the club. all in my opinion of course
  10. i actually am past giving a **** who goes now. whatever happens we will have pretty much a new side, new hereoes. they may turn out better than we had, they may be relegation fodder. the point is on the day the season starts we will be level par with every other club and full of hope and expectation. isnt that what football is really about? it is for me.
  11. the mirror reporter on skybsports just mentioned that the shaw money was significantly more than being banded about but didnt ellaborate. i wonder what the true amount is, as its suits both clubs to obscure the truth and leak lower figures. Also comments about how tough it is for a number of unproven players in the prem is true but remember we had 11 u**** untried players i the prem 2 years ago. yes its tough but it was always going to happen, its just how we respond to the challenge is key.
  12. one nice comment and all the shyte starts again. lets just see how he performs under the new team eh?
  13. i was thinking of of team made up of players that didnt start or get picked in the squad that would beat the current england starting 11 and have damn decent chance of qualifying out of that group and came up with the following - Ruddy clyne terry shawcross shaw cork wilshire ward-prowse lallana jay rod lambert i know a couple had injuries but it really isnt rocket science. the key is mobility in midfield, pace out wide at full back, strength and defensive nowse at centre back and decent technique in your front four. yes its saints biased but the point is that it goes to show that thier are players out there who could play the system we adopted stt his world cup if you get over the ingrained problem we have of the press picking the team.
  14. clearly not on this occasion as both saints and bournemouth want cash up front or no deal.
  15. heard some interesting gossip / information on the lallana to liverpool links. i heard fro someone at the bournmouth end if the conversation (close enough to be involved in any decision making) that liverpool have offered slightly north of 24 million however the caveat is that its paid in installments over 4 years (didnt ask how many). Bournemouth have absolutely said no chance we want our 25% up front no negotiation andsaints also have said all up front or no deal as we need to spend the cash on replacements. clearly liverpool have a budget for a number of players needed to bolster their squad for CL and dont want to spend a large chunk on one player up front so will only pay over 4 years. sounds like unless either party backs down nothing will be happening and young adz will be returning to SMS with his tail between his legs.
  16. oh hilarious, the chuckle brothers. Is this what we have to look forward from you this season Glasgow?
  17. whilst i will of course still go to most of the games, I can confirm that should saints appoint Steve Bruce then the board / owners will officially lose my support moving forward. That is all.
  18. i like the look of tuchal personally and he defo fits the profile we seem to favour. He insists on all players to committing to attack and defence whilst preaching fitness. Turns out he is a big fan of the bielsa style and importantly has lots of experience managing acadamies ans using academy players at mainz. sounds like a perfect fit if you look at sucession planning.
  19. to be honest thats my feeling on the situation. great player, personally my fave player since MLT. he may have been born i n liverpool but he was made here. he should have a sense of pride in ensuring it doesnt fall to pieces in my view. he had his chance at liverpool when he was a kid and ****ed it up. some repsect to the club that pulled him off the league 1 scrap heap and made him into an england international is due here i think.
  20. why not? he called a bunch of times yesterday and maybe he was busy doimg other stuff. maybe lallana didnt leave a message. maybe he keft his phone in the office. maybe he was having a few beers at a mate bbq and thought hey ill call him in the morning. he knows lallana wants a move and is going to push for a move. its clear he is going and maybe we dont want to dance to his tune and cant be arsed again to tell him nothing is happening until after the WC. Lallana is clearly getting nervous that LFCs ultimatum that they wil move on if not compketed before the world cup hence the number of calls to the board yesterday. personally i say **** him and deal with his sulk if LFC do pull out
  21. how about over the last 5 years we have given him the opportunity to develop into a player who is going to the world cup and feels he owes it to us to hang around and ensure it doesnt all collapse lika house of cards. we deserve this. just an alternative view
  22. it will take some explaining if lambert does go.
