  1. Agree it had 0-0 written all over it. I've not seen us since opening day and i was expecting us to be a a lot less confident than we were. I think if we were full of confidence we would have put the game well out of reach by the hour mark. I was pleasantly surprised by our performance and thought we knocked it around very positively and created good chances. Wednesday were poor though which made our job easier.
  2. Exactly this. In addition, he has not been tainted by the sack or had his reputation questioned such as a Phil Brown.
  3. Howe or Adkins. Nothing really wrong with either but just makes the AP sacking all the more pointless. Sent from my T-Mobile_G2_Touch using Tapatalk
  4. I agree. At first I lumped Zola in with the Browns and Harts. Then I forget we are division 3! That's where people like Zola should learn their trade. Cannot believe people are talking Paul Jewell up! Sent from my T-Mobile_G2_Touch using Tapatalk
  5. We might be cold but at least we've got class. Now, if anyone can point me to a good betamax website, I'm having difficulties with mine, cheers! Sent from my T-Mobile_G2_Touch using Tapatalk
  6. Can't see the whole staff getting the boot thou in that scenario. Sent from my T-Mobile_G2_Touch using Tapatalk
  7. Nuts, really. Only someone of O'Neills calibre can even begin to justify this. Sven, Zola, Phil Brown, Ince? God, no. I wanted Tisdale last year but would be disappointed now, given how well AP did last year. Ironic that NC talks about the Southampton way. This doesn't feel like the Southampton way at all. 8. Doesn't sound like you've read the link so I've included it here for you. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/8355013.Saints_boss_glad_to_finally_get_away_from_St__Mary_s/?ref=mr Just for future reference, if you pop 'google.com' into your browser you should be able to search for most articles that appear in the Daily Echo. That will prevent you from having to guess what people have or haven't said.
  9. I don't think Pardew is making any point about the crowd. I think he likes away games cos it brings the team closer together and it can be used for a bit for bonding. The article didn't read that away was better than home, both are different and he's excited about being away this weekend merely cos we haven't had an away game yet.
  10. RIP. I'm glad we had Wembley to share together. Shocked and saddened.
  11. RIP. So pleased we had Wembley to share together. Shocked & stunned.
  12. Mills played a lot of games for S****horpe in this division when they won the play offs two seasons ago. He was good enough for them that season.
  13. Alpine has never answered the question; would he prefer average league 1 average now or championship quality players in two weeks? Given, all things being equal, only AL remains a doubt for next week. And that is not a hypothetical question. It is the way the window works. League 1 teams need to feed on the scraps of those above. We might get bigger scraps than Brentford, Rochdale et al, but they're still scraps. AP has earned our trust after last seasons transfer activity and results.
  14. I think we'll get a few Premiership loanees in. I think we'll be an attractive proposition for Prem teams, in theory we'll be up near the top and having a few players in a winning team won't be a bad thing for the big teams fringe players. Plus Pards has got good contacts hasn't he, even at Man Utd. Perhaps not at Arsenal! I know people are in a hurry but AP so far has had his head firmly screwed on since he's been here. In terms of transfers everyone last season was a success. I'm sure he's sorted a CM and a quickie out, we'll just hear about it in due course.
  15. Oh, i know it really isn't important but i'd like to have seen our 'strongest' XI get 1-11, especially as we've two new kits this season so there is no need to keep old squad numbers. I like a tidy ship.
  16. Would be a big about turn from KD and all his pre-season talk last year about wanted to leave a stamp at a club, not just playing for the money. Also seems odd he'd have waited last season with potentially so little on offer here, but would go now when WHU and Saints could easily both be in the npc in 11-12.
  17. The thing missing for me is some open and honest comms. We are not customers, we are supporters of a football club. If the club said, look, we've only got 1,000 people paying via the instalment plan, it's costing us 10k to run it - it makes sense to scrap it. Ideally they'd have given a seasons warning but at least acknowledge it. Likewise, if they could show how the £3 ticket tax was going back into the club, and some of the rationale behind it rather than other options, i'm sure supporters, by and large would accept it. I'm not bothered it took to June to know about the 10/11 ST prices, but why not let us know we aren't going to hear anything til then. I'm sure some would still moan, but it would shut most up. The frustrating thing for me that this regime seems to share with the past is the one way comms. For me it builds unnecessary resentment and smacks of treating us like customers, not members. It's not the worst crime in the world but it is very avoidable.
  18. It says in the article re the booking fee This will not be applicable to season ticket purchases. Does that mean ST holders buying additional tickets or actually when you buy your season ticket. I just wondered if ST holders (and one of the members benefits when they are announced) is that you don't have to booking a fee? Might be an incentive to try and get people to be members???
  19. I assume the £3 booking fee applies for all tickets, including away games? That seems very naughty to me... a £18 ticket to go to Oldham might well be upped by almost 20%!
  20. Ha! Him and Shina Twain. And he drinks Malibu and coke. Deary me. I do actually love him thou.
  21. The Redknapp family should be extradited to Pluto. ****s.

  23. That's how i'm consoling all my Sheff Wed supporting friends. It's going down well at the moment.
