  1. Oh dear. Not sure I even mentioned pre season and once again posters are saying a player is being 'written off'. Please show me where he has been written off? Clearly failing to read or understand.
  2. What do you base that on? He had a worryingly poor year last season and they were very pleased to see him go by all accounts.
  3. Yes that is my worry too. I suspect we didn't get Astori but got this guy instead. If we can get in another decent CB it would relieve that pressure.
  4. We want to be more than fine though. Certainly if our goal is to finish top half.
  5. Hard choice (and good non moaney thread for once). It would be very hard to pick. I'm still not sure about the Lovren signing (quite a lot for a fourth choice CB who as yet is not proven quality) and would have liked us to splash out a bit on someone like Astori. Having said that one of our biggest weaknesses last year was fannying about and not having a whallop. Would be great to get a new striker and I think it would change the dynamics of the team.
  6. Not at all. Someone was saying why Nicola would talk to sky sports and I was agreeing with them.
  7. Answered this countless times on here. It isn't black or white. Doesn't really have much to do with the topic either.
  8. I don't consider sky to be hard hitting journalists if that's what you mean. Pathetic.
  9. Indeed. The easy ones.
  10. Lol. What a tool.
  11. Yes we could with the right financial backing. The right financial backing being about 500 million of course...
  12. I would like to see Denmark's ratios before holding them up as some sort of example. France has been trumpeted by the Tories for ages yet they are much worse childcare-wise than us. Same in other European countries such as Belgium and Portugal. It isn't just about affordability it is about the quality of childcare.
  13. I don't think he can either.
  14. Thats why I said someone who could do a job there.
  15. You could say our brave boys fought for the right to watch porn freely.
  16. Pleased if we get a rb (maybe a CB that can do a job at rb would be better unless we get another CB too). Just a striker and wide player to go and we are set.
  17. I doubt we will get two strikers.
  18. In medieval times the biggest expense was a cart so it isn't that mental.
  19. Tbf although it is grating, it's nice to have something positive (though inane) on the news for a change.
  20. I've told you before CB, stop stamping on people's dreams.
  21. That doesn't make any sense.
  22. Yes I can see the prospect of signing someone would be exciting. I suppose it was the use of the word thrilled really when I really don't think it is that great to be linked with a player that will probably not sign.
  23. You are more excited before if you actually know sex is going to occur...
  24. Not really. I'm very excited when we get to a cup final because it is an achievement. I'm excited when we make a big name signing and thrilled by a great performance or victory because we have actually done something. What is thrilling about being linked to a player that subsequently turns us down? Ramirez was an exciting signing.
