  1. It depends who we sell how many we sell and who we replace them with. Nowhere near as black and white as you suggest.
  2. Good news. If he doesn't want to go then he won't be sold.
  3. Not sure what else you would have wanted him to say. Set out his vision for success, outlined his philosophy and said there was a lot that needed doing on the commercial side of things.
  4. Thanks for the advice but I'm not in any sort of frenzy. A frenzy was the way people reacted after that nauseating pr piece on the BBC a few months back. As I have a background in pr I have my eyes wide open thanks very much and of course actions will speak louder than words. I like what I have read and heard about this guy though and as an initial statement it is exciting and seemingly a very positive and refreshing change.
  5. Although neither are comparable or in any way linked...
  6. Because he wants to go? Lovren was not raised in the Southampton way but he is bloody brilliant.
  7. Have you listened to the interview? Because it sounded the polar opposite of what I heard from cortese. As wes said in another thread, this should hopefully be more exciting because he is goibg to keep the business acumen whilst respecting and including the fans and respecting the history of the club.
  8. In league 2! Ha sometimes I have to pinch myself. What an absolutely awful team and a nightmare for them. I hope they are still in league one and two in a decade, then we will see how loyal their fans are...
  9. Dare I say the return of the fans forum?
  10. Cortese never gave a toss about anything other than on the pitch success. Today is a blow for the success at any cost types but is a hugely satisfying and exciting day for the rest.
  11. Excellent. Believes true success is on and off the pitch, he believes in openness and strongly believes that fans are more than customers and should be treated with respect. That is already a huge difference between him and cortese and it bodes really well.
  12. Well they have said pretty much all I wanted to hear. My main gripes with cortese was his lack of respect for our history, the way he treated fans and business associates and the lack of communication from the club in general. It seems that this has been recognised and we should hopefully retain our vision and business acumen whilst gaining some humanity and openness. Very exciting and it looks like Duncan has been getting all depressed over nothing.
  13. Since when has that ever stopped anyone at sms? If anything that would make it more popular.
  14. Exactly. If we hired dave Brailsford as chairman this would be met with excitement and interest. This appears to be a similar sort of appointment imo and could be a shrewd move. The most important thing is to get pochetinno to sign a new contract as that will be a statement if intent.
  15. Pompeys case as has been outlined numerous times is completely different as you well know.
  16. It doesn't matter if Hull fans admire us. If they win the cup this year they would never swap for anything we have got and I would agree with them.
  17. Have have officially now had a better season than us. Depressing.
  18. Why Hull? They have been decent this year.
  19. Well personally it will remain annoying until we start our fa cup run next year and I shall see how we treat it then.
  20. I miss the Christmas one someone did a few years ago. That banner was great.
  21. Who said it is a legends banner? I always thought it was to show the type of club saints are. So that encompasses legends, people who have stayed here their whole careers and shown loyalty and then show how the club can pull amazing signings out of the bag like Keegan and Shilton.
  22. Loved papa for the short time he was here.
  23. Because I consider child abuse a more serious crime. I care more about children than pets although obviously being cruel to animals is a bad crime.
