I think you are completely missing the point/choosing not to listen to what is actually being said.
-
But that does not mean Cortese is above criticism (Liebherr maybe!)

If this were true then you would imagine Adu himself would know about it. He didn't last week... -

No that's Mary Corbett.

Nothing wrong with ignoring the gossip. What is wrong is the points I have described above coupled with the lack of transparency.
-
You have to be the worst poster in years. Either debate points properly or ignore.

We should pool all our money on here and then buy our matchday tickets in one transaction

What a f*cking joke. I hope attendances are well down this year so they learn.

It's a symptom of a larger problem. If you actually understood what I had written you would see that it was not me who deserved an explanation but Steve and indeed the others who donated because as a sponsor, one of their perks is to have a profile in the matchday programme. It's hardly an incentive to sponsor people next year if one of the privileges of sponsorship is taken away with no explanation for the people involved.

I think it's a combination of things. I have defended Nicola quite a lot on here and took a wait and see approach. The fans forum last year was really positive where he listened and acted on the requests of the fans. What concerns me recently is the Programme debacle (Steve at the very least deserves an explanation from someone seeing as his profile of the forum was in it) and the ticket thing. The fact that no one knew when the tickets were going to be released and no one knew about the lack of a installment option until the last minute. I hoped that the new owners would usher in some much needed transparency but if anything things have got worse. In my opinion Cortese is doing a lot of this stuff on his own and as he is the ultimate authority at the club, he can do as he pleases and has no one to confer with or keep him in check. Perhaps what seems a good idea to him is then released without being checked by anyone. That's where I think the problem lies.

saintbletch a good post and it's probably what I am most disappointed about. What is the point of publicising a charter in December talking about installment plans to then just change it 6 months later. I don't really understand that.
-
If you were guessing in December, all indications were that there would be an installment plan.
-
Yep. Everyone else has one, why dont we?
-
Why not just charge people a bit extra who want to pay in installments?
-
They will be fine.

I physically cannot get into more debt than I currently have and I cannot ask my parents or other family members for money they do not have. £400 might not be that much for you but it is for me and there is no way I could possibly justify the cost. Certainly not in one sum anyway.
-
Parker and Huddlestone possibly. Crazy not taking Theo and keeping SWP, also shame about King.
-
It is really sad that some people say things like "if you really want a ST you will get one." Do you seriously think I have 400 quid to spend? I can't afford 400 pounds and I can't get a season ticket by paying in one lump even though I "really want one." I think some people live their own lives and don't consider how tight it is financially for some people.
-
I don't think I've had much sleep but I'm still confused about the matchday price. What is the price of one adult ticket booked in person before a match and what is the price of that ticket if it is booked on the day? Thanks.
-
I agree Um Bongo. You would think they would at the very least be consulted about it (or the guy in charge would). Would be interesting to know who came up with this strategy and their rational.
-
I went to most of the games anyway but skipped the ones I couldn't afford. I was looking to buy one this year but there is no way I can afford it all in one go.
-
Cortese was very responsive and looked to sort things out at the last fans forum. I hope he acts in a similar manner this year when I will be asking him about this and the fans charter.
-
TBF I defaulted on mine because I ran out of money. I then handed it in as soon as I could.
-
In fairness though, people may have done this if they had known there would be no installments this year...
